Do you think men and women each have certain specific and/or exclusive gender roles within the household to fulfill?
If you do, what are they and why do you feel the opposite gender can't meet the standard?
If you don't, do you believe a man can teach a young woman something just as well, if not better than a woman could? (If you don't, do you believe a woman can teach a young man something just as well, if not better than a man could?)
Of course men and woman have different gender roles in the home, well that's what I was raised to believe. Mum cooked, cleaned, washed, took care of the kids, did the shopping but she never went out to work. Dad worked, did the garden, the decorating, any repairs that needed doing, and on occasion he would bath us but not very often. His meals were ready and put in front of him when he came home from work, and his sarnie's for the next day were made ready for him, every Friday night his best shirt was washed and pressed ready for him to go out for a beer. My how things have changed, my daughter in law will do none of that, she expects the household chores to be done equally, and my son goes along with it, even though he was raised as I was with almost the same things happening in our home. No man cleans to my standard, but I can't do the garden as well as a man, this is the whole point of being a couple, each as their own role to fulfil it doesn't matter if you are man or woman people are good at different things. A man can teach a young woman something new, just as a woman could teach a man something new, however some men can't grasp multi tasking where as woman can do six things at once I know because I am that woman.
