Happy valentines day to you also, and your night sounds like mine! although I'm not single my husband is out clearing the rail tracks of water and debris and has been for day's. So that answers your other question, yes we are still very flooded!

Worst Valentines Day ever (2/14/07) : I worked in my cousin's flower shop. All day we had the sweetest, most unavailable, guys coming in to the shop, getting flowers for their moms and girlfriends/wives. We had to deal with these considerate, romantic men all day, and us three flower shop girls were a) over 40 b) suddenly single (we'd all broken up with, or been dumped recently) c) we had our exes SHOW UP at the shop. (I don't know why they rolled in, but they did).
By 6 pm, we were drinking rum & cokes out of those little individual rose vases, and 2 of us were sobbing hysterically. It was a tough day.
Many singletons I know have renamed the day: VD......or Single Awareness Day (S.A.D.)
In that spirit, I wish you all "Happy VD!"
