Yes ...sorry, blooming as in budding ...going from 12x12 to 16/8 WILL result in stressed plants...you will expect to have some (1/4) to herm ...re think?

i guess your right, i wanted easy way but i think i have new idea, how about removing the flowers(4 smallsized)and put dark garbagebag over them to block the light?shitty air but they should make it right?i have put bag over plants before to push crystalproductionSee the real issue here is you won't notice the affects till much later in the grow, if you KNOW you will stree the plants then you can expect, plants to HERM, how many and to what degree is highly variable, depends on the age of the plant, its maturity, and strain.
This will result in heartbreak to you and the plants, re think!! consider relocating the clones, whilst reinstalling the new gear, will it take 12 hours to do the re install...?
I'm in a similar situation wanting to build a new counter weight system for my T8 germing rack, after adding some new light, I need to add more wight below the pulleys ..Grrr!
will do in 3 weeks ...
i'd say you could probably do it without too much of a negative response, however, i'd like to know your cloning technique, that takes only 2-3 days to root. Takes me at least a week...If one is having a crop late in bloom 8+weeks and absoloutely has to put new hydrosystem in flowerroom with clones that only need 2-3 days to root, will the blooming ones take damage if they get 16/8 for couple days then back to 12/12
clones are already rooted in qubes, just wanted to give them couple of days to root and get comfortable in the system before 12/12 yes they were getting close but i made mistake and cut to early before and wont do that again. i know of people turning of the light for 72hours(around that) but never on, its probbably another way to stress them just like slicing.i'd say you could probably do it without too much of a negative response, however, i'd like to know your cloning technique, that takes only 2-3 days to root. SO in that regard it may take a lil longer for the clones to take root.
ideally, as everyone has said, it's not optimal. But if it's really 3 days max, I doubt it'll hurt them.
and is that 8 weeks FLOWERING? Shouldn't they be getting close to done about now?
reason I ask is I know an old hippie grower that turns his lights on NONSTOP for 72 hrs at the end of his harvest, he swears by it.
I tried it, didn't notice anything...
but it never hurt his plants
gotcha, I thought you meant you get them, from cuts, rooted and ready in a couple daysclones are already rooted in qubes, just wanted to give them couple of days to root and get comfortable in the system before 12/12 yes they were getting close but i made mistake and cut to early before and wont do that again. i know of people turning of the light for 72hours(around that) but never on, its probbably another way to stress them just like slicing.
