A red nose is just an American Pitbull Terrier that happens to have a red nose look around you will find one everyone breeds pits little dogs are easy as fuck to breed the big breeds are hell.
Red nose posess temperaments I like. They need a red coat as well (gold to brown)

Any pit is a great dog, but the red lines have done me better than blues and fawn.

Same dog, same papers, same temperament. Some may not be raised right, but them are some of the friendliest dogs you can get you want a guard dog don't get a pit they only look scary too pussies meanwhile I bust out some cheeseburgers me and your pit will be best friends.:bigjoint: Plus even if it was mean I can take at least 2 pits all you need to do is tuck your chin and watch your balls with a dog they got nothing else unless it is a truly powerful dog that weighs as much as a man but still I'll have a knife.

Just admit it you only like the color and red nose just sounds cooler.

There is scientific proof that hair color and patterns are a result of domesticatio, and can indicate a behavioral phenotype.

I believe there is some sort of genetic phenotyping occuring... but yes, there is probably a pre detirmined bias due to the great line of dogs i have had that have been reds.

Definately not because it 'sounds cool' lol

Watch this video about the findings during the domestication process of silver fox'. Same dogs, same breed, yet Good Temperament is represented in the white phenotype.

why don't you buy your dog through love instead of what breed it is ??......... Its not a car you know.

I gotta answer this one , people like myself can fall in love with a certain breed , or respect a singular breed of animal for its looks , it's traigh

just saying

pitbulls went out of fashion 20 years ago ......... Where ya living my friend, the moon?

Why are pit's so uncool ? Why is any breed uncool for that matter ?

I dont own or breed pits but i am breed loyal with American Bulldogs , think of a 150 lb Pit bull on steroids & you'll envision an American BD , i love their intelligence, their loyalty, their ease of training , their strength , their tenacity, their undying devotion , their fearlessness , and most of all i appreciate their aggressive determination to protect .

Whats wrong with somebody loving everything about a breed & seeking out that breed ?

Just to clarify some general information in this thread , Pit Bulls make excellent guard dogs , a guard dogs purpose is to alert its owner to trespassers via barking loudly , a guard dog is not meant to attack , any breed thats territorial & determined makes a great guard dog so Pits fit the bill perfectly .

If you want an attack dog then aggressive breeds in excess of 120 lbs minimum is where you need to look , an attack dogs purpose is to stop the threat where it stands , for protection purposes attack dogs should allways work in pairs & be trained to work as a team .

you all hate dogs !!!
I dont hate dogs at all infact i love them , i bred & trained Johnson American Bulldogs since the late 70's , we have 3 & i love them all.

However i am able to make the distinction between a duty animal & a pet while still loving both .

Yup , BD's have been in our family over 30 yrs now & they've all been great , i love all bully breeds & hate the bad rap they get .

My wifes life was saved from a carjacker by one of our bulls & 2 burglars went to jail because of our Bulldogs , we've got a retired protection animal as my wifes helper dog & the 2 are inseperable.

@hydroMD, if you're willing to have a dog shipped to you, you may consider looking in here Hawaii. Pit bulls are the unofficial state dog. Their popularity started with pig hunters and just grew to be a local favorite and there are some good breeders here. Generally, the red nose pits are bred sleeker for pig hunting and blue nose are bred thicker for show, not always, but that's the generalization. I've owned two pits here and one pit mix (one of them died so I only have the one pit and the pit mix) and they've all been great family and people dogs. They just NEED to be part of the family "pack". I can't think of any breeders off of the top of my head, but I know there's some online and unfortunately there are always a bunch at the Humane Society (on the fortunate side I think it's a no-kill Humane Society, but I'm not totally sure). Blessings on your quest brah :)
