The NFL purposely built as part of their fan base patriotic Americans, the military, veterans and men.
Witness their logo, a shield with stars on it, the products marketed,a huge flag is presented on the field, the National Anthem is played, active military are saluted and given a shout out.
Now half of the fan base they marketed too and built are offended. Polls, attendance, merchandise sales, viewership is suffering.
The left is claiming anyone opposing the protests is racist, ignorant. All the while people are clearly saying exactly why they're offended yet for whatever reason this is ignored.
This same parallel played out last year in the election.

There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder.”
Courts where cops are exonerated are at the local, county, and state levels by and large. I wonder if the focus on accountability and pressure to do so shouldn't also be at these levels where the unjustified killings occur.
Certainly the Feds can step in like they did in Civil Rights but I won't hold any hope for this administration to do so.

I beleive many of the people who dont like the protest dont becaude the conservative marketing machine turned them into something they were not... the focus has never been on the actual protest, but issues that it was not about.
A draft dodging pow slamming tiny handed man really turned it into what it was not to distract from his administrations utter failure and complete lack of compassion for Puerto Rico...
What should be being discussed is if the protest has merit or not, and if it does what do we do about it? Trump has even distracted from his distraction...
I certainly beleive the protest has merit but reason we should be discussing it is those that are unsure or dont beleive it does need a chance to have it explained to them, if they like many are are ignorant, often by choice but not always, of the systemic racism african americans and other minorities face daily..
