ive looked all over for mylar (i live in aus and im wondering if its called something else here) and i was wondering whats the next best thing to mylar? would a mirror be any good?
no mirrior aint no goods at all the next best thing would probably be flat white paint or go to a party store, dollor stor or anything of the sort and look for gift wrapping paper thats silver on the inside ITS MYLAR for 2 dollars a roll
Dont mess around with that reflective dollar store crap, find some panda plastic, its pretty rugged plastic, black on one side, white on the other, you should be able to find it at a hardware store, grow shop etc...
fuuuuuuuk, im screeeewed, the dude at bunnings didnt even know wat mylar was, and now i cant even use dollar store wrapping paper :] hahahaha.
aaww.. theres a hydro store up the coast, i might send em an email and see wat theyve got for how much.. thanks anyway guys
WTF are u talkin bout click my sig the mylar alt it IS mylar wtf.... n if that plastic gets to hot one side will melt and that panda plastic only reflects like 60% light the flat white paint does more than that

So has it just sucked in your experience or what?Used in growing areas - this is waterproof poly film that is black on one side & white on the other. Also known as Panda film, the white side is very reflective (over 90%) and can be used on the walls and floor of your growing area to reflect light back to plants and reduce algae growth on walls. The black side provides a light-resistant partition. Our poly is provided on easy to use ROLLS and is now improved, with an extra heavy duty 6 mil thickness that is stronger and more lightproof.
