fucking massive buds that's what's right
Here’s what I suggest you do. Take one plant in your next grow and feed it min nutrients and wait for the leaves to tell you it’s hungry. You’re trying to stay ahead of your plant (which is great and should be your end goal) but you’re giving too much. It’s costing you time, money, and mental anguish.

all my plants get fed from the same tank. Can't really run one on it's own schedule. But yeah I need to adapt the way I'm doing things. As soon as I run out of the bottled nute I'm going to start blending my own nute from simple powder form salt

So take one off your system and water it by hand. Isolate one plant and wait for it to show signs it’s hungry. Then once you see the bottom threshold you can start increasing the nutrients until you find the top. Then try to stay there through the entire grow.

Aren’t you in coco? Is it automated? If so maybe do one grow watering by hand, so you can adjust the feeding and find the numbers to produce what you want.

yes in Coco and automated. I have a full time shift job and 3 kids. it's gotta be automated.

The only reason people are laughing at your plants is because you won’t listen. If you were a little more open to suggestions, people would be more willing to help.

Then drop all of your nutrients in all of your plants to min. Wait for bottom leaves to leaves to show a def and then bump them up. I don’t know shit about coco but I know people are doing it with WAY lower EC. That should tell you something.

and most of us have jobs and kids

No offense but if you can’t do it with proven nutrients, why would you try to make your own? Make it work with proven nutrients and then experiment

I'm pretty sure I have 2 main problems. Not enough calcium and possibly boron during stretch and first week or 2 of bud set. The lack of calcium mean the plant struggled to get enough nutrient transport as it's going into heavy flower. And salt build up from too high EC. The plants can't get the nutrients they need so it's getting left in the Coco and building up.

I’ve never heard of a boron def not caused by lockout.

everyone has told you your main problems. You just choose to ignore.

More calcium def than boron. Not enough calcium is what's kicking off the snowball. Seems to be something that happens quite often to auto growers. I've seen a lot of grows in other threads on lower EC with pretty much the same thing happening

The reason I don't always listen is because I'm not doing it all wrong. I suck at finishing them but I'm growing autos that are monsters. 90 percent of the auto grow threads I've seen flower out at about 2 foot tall and 3 ounces is considered to be large. I'm looking to upgrade my tent height because 2 metres isn't enough for me with plant + drain tray + light distance. There is deffinetly something right with my recipe otherwise my plants wouldn't be anywhere near as big as they are.

Ok I give up man. sorry I quoted your post and tried to talk some sense into you. That was my fault and I won’t let it happen again. Self reflection and admitting you are the problem, is hard for some people. I consider it one of my better qualities. :peace:

And he's obviously been turtled quite a few times because he knows all about. I can only imagine what a total fuckwit he was before the admin reigned him in.
People will be pretty straight forward online
and I personally like that approach. People are so easily offended nowadays. There's new growers every week growing autos who believe themselves to be self entitled experts after just a couple of runs.

Don't try to be someone you're not dude. Don't let your ego stand in the way of your personal development. The more you learn the more you understand how little you actually know. You will stay in the same place forever if you believe your shit to be the best shit around, there's always room for improvements.

OT: Nice to see another journal, best of luck in your endeavors @Wattzzup. Cheers!
