So i was at the bar the other nite and when I pulled out I saw a cop across the street turn his headlights on and pull out behind me. I had been drinking but he was making an assumption that I was. As for all he knows i was drinking water lol He followed me for a little and then turned back around. Turns out later on he pulled the owner of the bar over. Haha the cop musta been pissed he pulled the only person that wasn't drinking over. Nothing happened with that and they let him go. But it pisses me off that the cops gonna do that. Is it allowed?

i didn't get pulled over but that was the excuse they gave for pulling the owner over. He knew he didn't since he hadn't been drinking, they pulled past him when he was getting his mail and they waited for him. Once he told them he wasn't drinking and that he knew he didn't touch the line they said they thought that he may have been throwing up when he was stopped since they only saw him getting in his truck when they drove by. Thats all speculation!!!

No surprise.... In Va Beach, they use DUI SPOT officers.... they actually chalk your tires and watch vehicles parked at bars. I walked up to an undercover cop across the street once to complain about my tires being chalked constantly. He told me to quit spending all my time at the bar. I got my ID out and gave it to him and asked for his, as I informed him I had been employed at that bar for more than 3 years and I was filing a police harrassment complaint.

My tires were never chalked again outside that bar, neither were my customers. They all thought I was a hero, I was just pissed my black walls were getting marred with white chalk and my customer base was dropping. The SPOT cop moved on to another location.

Normally I don't ID myself for police in those situations were you talk with an officer on the street, but I felt I needed to at the time because I was demanding his bdage information, which I was entitled to.

Stop being a dipshit driving around after drinking and you have nothing to worry about.

Cops SHOULD park at bars and watch them as many of them are too drunk to be driving. You'll feel differently if a drunk slams into the side of your families car and kills them all leaving you left with nothing.

I believe in complete privacy in our homes, but on the open road....no. You don't get to hide behind some bullshit "entrapment" crap when you are trying to drive around drunk. fuck you and fuck anyone else who does this shit. Drive sober or get a DD or call a cab. Anything else and your ass belongs in a cage.

A very good friend of mine got pulled over for a DUI while in the parking lot at the bar, and yes he was very drunk. What happend was he started the car, put it in drive and rolled forward about two or three feet and was about to take off when the officer knocked on his window, and arrested him. The DUI got thrown out of court due to it being entrapment. In Canada, apparently they cannot target you in the parking lots of bars, if you were on the street thats a totally different story. But too answer your question, I have seen it thrown out of court for entrapment.
