How much to water for 8" pots

Hello!

I am not sure what is the proper way of watering...

I've determined that it takes roughly 2L to 2.5L of water for the 8" pots to start dripping under, and in that case takes about 3-4 days to have 2-3" of dry soil on top.

Is this correct form or watering? or should i water perhaps 500 ml per 8" pot in order for the plant to ask more?

Just water till you see a little run off, pick it up so u can memorize the weight, let it dry out pick it up to memorize weight, then water as needed.

Forget *determining* the amount. Like ^^^^^ said water till medium is fully saturated and a decent amount comes out the bottom (run off). Memorize the weight.

Let dry (3-5 days or so), pick it up, feel the weight and do the saturation/run off thing again.

Plants don't drink the same all the time, just like you and I don't. Might take 3 days, might take 5. Whatever.

Schedules and amounts are useless. Learn to read the plant. It will tell you what it wants and when it wants it.

if you're letting them dry out between waterings and they feel light yes.

cannabis is a flood and drain plant, it likes to dry out for a while then to be saturated completely, also this method helps keep your ph more stable. make sure you let the soil dry out in between waterings as the roots dont like to be wet all the time.

8-inch pot is pretty small. I've got some round 9-inchers and I give them about 8 ounces of water daily.

hmm.. is it better to give a smaller water dosage and feed them daily or give them enough water and feed them every 3 to 5 days. Looks like this brings up a new question for me lol

its not necessarily good procedure to water everyday. if you water everyday your root system is always wet which can lead to eventual root rot or mildews and it also locks out oxygen from getting to the roots as much as its needed. its better to fully soak them then let them completley dry out with no sign of moisture or right as all your leaves begin to droop a bit, then you completely saturate them again. this avoids the rot and also makes your roots serach deeper for water when its dry which also helps you get a stronger root network.
