Are my yields well below par for 200w CFL - happy but think I should get better

Good Evening Growers! I've had 6 harvests over the past year with various CFL combinations, and yields have crept up, with quality high throughout, but should I get more?
The last 3 harvests, all fully dried, cured, and crispy, and from home made reflector groom rooms. BioGrow, BioBizz and Molasses

1 x 2ft AK48 at 160w CFL - 23g
4 x 18" AK48 at 200w CFL - 32g
4 x small LST AK48 with 35w CFL each - 7-9g per plant
I've now got a proper 2x2 tent, and 4 Blue Mystic at 18" in second week of flower and topped: https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/518017-multi-strain-cfl-grows-blue.html

Would really appreciate some advice (yes I know you'll need more info on set up, but will answer when prompted rather then flood with info)
thats a decent yield, bulb spacing during flower is key. If your bulbs arent spaced you get a few huge buds instead of a lot of medium sized ones. increasing watts is a easy way to up the yield most likely. Perlite is very important in soil and i might go as far as to say you would of had a small increase in bud, because your plants would have more air traveling to the roots it probably would of gotten a bit larger. but honestly you got 2 and a half-3 zips under 200 true watts which people would usually laugh and say you might pull a couple grams from all plants.

Thanks!! That's cheered me up! However I'm a UK grower, and not sure what you mean by a zip? With this later grow, the plants are right up inside the reflector of the large bulb, with a 30w either side to even it out a bit! I'm hoping with this grow to get 14g per plant, but that mite be a bit hopeful!

zip is slang for oz. rotate your plants a 1/4 turn every day to "spread" the light a little more evenly. does that make sense? stay high

I have limited veg light, so can take a while, but generally veg to between 8-12", as I like to keep th plants small and get the most from the CFL's.

I've had a little go at LST, and this harvest is the Topping test run. Maybe for the next grow i'll veg a bit more, or go all out on the LST

Hey hey,

I think you need to trim them a little more as well. If you look at Hettymans plants they didn't have all the big fan leaves. I would say it's too late now, but when you are harvesting your girls take a look at which branches produced decent buds and which were a waste. I cut fan leaves all along thru veg, not all of them but if they start getting big or shading too much, gone. Plus the lower branches are often a waste, I just cut them. If not they will grow way out to get light, good for clones though.

and CalMag....it's gold

I would say my keys to success are, genetics, Scrog, Trimming, CalMag, and DWC.

Cheers,
