Thanks a lot man I appreciate it! looking back on it now I would have invested the $$ in an HPS light instead of the T-5 but it was a good experiment and for my first grow its a good start for using a T-5. So should I lower the light by like an inch? And as far as the LST method goes I have no clue or idea of how to do it unfortunately I did a ton of reading in the beginning on a bunch of things but I did not read anything about LST, I actually never heard of it until I joined this forum. If I tried to do it would it make any difference at this stage that I am in right now? I also was thinking about not giving them nutrients now and to just give them straight water from now on, and I was also thinking about flushing them soon, would that be a bad idea?looks close. iv'e never done a complete grow in t5's or t8's. i'm inspired by what you've done. plus rep for you. one piece of advice. when growing in floros you got to keep your canopy very close to the source. your canopy ranges from a few inches to about 18 inches. try LST and see if you can't get those buds real close. the plants will produce thick heavily resined buds...and that's what you want. need help...just ask.
So If I gave them like a week and a half I should maybe be harvesting one plant at a time over the duration of the next 2 weeks I would like to give them. I still need to flush and still need to stop giving them nutrients. I fed them all today w/their nutrients should that have been the last time I do it?yea pull them out who is done and give the rest a littel bit more space/light for a few days more and let em finish ..
Yeah I know biggest mistake I made by far throughout this grow. The day I went to the hydro shop to buy the T-5 bloom bulbs I was looking @ an hps setup 400 watt with hood, bulb and ballast for 120.00 shoulda just spent the money!I definitely would recommend investing in a HPS light, your buds would look 10x better.
Thanks Clayton I could only imagine what they would look like with an hps on them! But it's not bad for my first grow and they all were from bag seed and all turned female so it's better than nothing lol I will for sure give them 2 weeks though. Should I start giving them water only and flush soon?Great grow for what you had to work with. DannyBoy nailed it. Looks like 2 more weeks to me.
too late for this grow...next time....LST is EZ. it's just a matter of bending the main stem and letting the laterals (the shoots that emerge from the nodes) grow and even bend the laterals keeping in mind the goal is to keep that canopy (the tops of the plants) even for even light distribution. flushing is a hotly contested topic and i personally believe all the plants needs are met with my original soil mix. and mb a little top dressing if necessary. i grew mostly indica dominant hybrids that only needed about 8 weeks in the soil anyway. hydro growers flush. soil growers mostly don't.Thanks a lot man I appreciate it! looking back on it now I would have invested the $$ in an HPS light instead of the T-5 but it was a good experiment and for my first grow its a good start for using a T-5. harvest the parts that are finished. and let the bottoms ripen up till they are finished. if your canopy was even all around you would be harvesting all the plants at once but yours will ripen over a period of roughly two weeks. got a cheap scope? you should have one if for no other reason than it's cool to see the trichomes change color. i got one off amazon for 60 USD. you can get them cheaper. mine plugs into a USB port in my computer. hit me up if you need more info.So If I gave them like a week and a half I should maybe be harvesting one plant at a time over the duration of the next 2 weeks I would like to give them. not necessarily. let him get the t5 thing down and the LST thing down, then he can play with HID's. HPS comes with it's own problems.I definitely would recommend investing in a HPS light, your buds would look 10x better.
I'm definitely going to an hps next time I hope it speeds the process cause 121 days after germination and I'm just now today chopping them, lots of patience. I did get a loupe a few months back off amazon for cheap it's a 30x one to so its cool checking out your buds. I'm still gonna use soil and go for less plants in bigger pots so hopefully they produce better yields and will be easier to take care of labor wise. Thanks for the advice Clayton I appreciate it!Danny, I think you and your recommendations are great. As well as the OP did with this being their first grow, I recommend spending a few bucks and going HPS. I think soil is easier for beginners. LST is a great way to go when done right. As long as you're on the learning curve, might as well get the most/biggest buds. FL just don't do much for the time it takes from start to finish. I think you are talking about heat/ventialtion/humidity concerns for the HPS. I think a smaller grow, like one 400W won;t be too difficult to manage. If it is, we are here to help for that too.
