I have two closets that are identical, i want to do a hydro grow this time around and have no idea what to do . attached is a pic of one closet since they are both the same. dimensions are 2"Dx3"Wx8"H2012-09-16_21-12-24_306.jpg

It has two shelves i was thinking of removing and maybe cutting the closet in half for more level that i can grow on? is 8 ft not enough to do that?

give me some good ideas :}

I definitly want to do hydrom i was gonna cover the whole inside of the door with light proof material and then at the top have output and intake fans. and no i have no equipment, ive been outdoors all the time. i have a 2k limit for both

intake fans are better when put low and outtakes high

2x2 ebb n flow table (or diy w/ a 2'x3' mixing tub from home depot and 18gal tote) 400 w hps/mh, 4" inline fan with carbon filter for exhaust, passive intake from under the door? a small oscillating desk fan for circulation. wheres ur cool fresh air gonna come from (central air or window ac?) wheres ur exhaust gonna go? (thru ceiling into attic?.. out a window?) :bigjoint:

ok.. makes sense.. thats pretty much what i do too..im in a basement and it stays pretty cool(when its hot out i have a central ac vent blowing in the direction of my box) so i just pull from the cold ground for intake and exhaust out the top with a run of ducting to the other side of the basement where the furnace is and that removes my stale air from the environment and its workin so far..can u tape ur exhaust ducting to the front of ur ac to rid the room of stale air?

yeah i dont see why not, but what do you think about the two closets? one a veg and one a flower or both the same cycle or what

Just to be different I'll say split both closets at the 4' mark. Use one closet for vegging, cloning, mom. Use the other closet for dual flowering areas with short veg time for small plants. Have the 2 flower sections on the same light cycle of course but stagger them like a month apart.

In all honesty for me I wouldn't do all that but it's just a thought. It's kind of a small area for a hydro setup, but that just IMO.

yeah i know its small, but there are plenty of setups that can fit that space. and its not like im trying SOG i just want a few plants that i can keep growing and rotating fast alll year for some yields. i gotta keep up with my outdooor 4 pound yields

OK the area is pretty small for hydro like others have said. With filling, refilling, leaks, lines - keep it in dirt. If you make one a veg room and other a flower you have regular harvests (or more frequent) and the fewer hours with the flower light means less heat handling daily. 6 hours is a lot of saved BTUs. Consider SOG or SCROG - both designed for close quarters combat.

Looks like a water farm set up just as Scottyballs has will work the best.And start out 18 hour in both closets/wait 30 days and flip to 12 hours.
Just takes 2 plants to yield 20 oz.
400watt each room.
