The torch was passed to me and I know am raising two little ones and everyday they bring back a memory with there silly questions and antics . Hey dad , did they have peanut butter when you were a kid ? Did grandma let you watch sponge bob ? It brings back childhood memories just watching them play and grow .

More arcana. The Lowest Unoccupied Molecular Orbital (acronym LUMO) tops, yes tops, the Highest Occupied Molecular Orbital on the quantum-mechanical diagram of electronic energy levels for a molecule. The acronym of the latter is left as an exercise to the reader.
I am actually a LUMOsexual.

Only chemists have Lone Pairs.

Yep.. I'm not sure exactly what, but whenever I smell it, it brings me back.. there are at least 6 things that do that.. Smell is directly tied to memory

The smells of balsam fir or juniper reminds me of my grandmothers yard and a place we lived when I was in 7th grade that was very special. Colombian pot: it smells like no other and tastes like no other; it takes me back to the early 70's when it was $30 a "lid".

Forty an "ozie" in the Mid-Lannic second half of the 70s ... looked like the stuff you scrape off a mower deck, but whooooo.

I like it when something happens, and it triggers a memory from many many years ago... But you haven't even thought of it since the moment that the event in memory actually took place. It makes me think that you never actually forget anything, and that it's all stored up there somewhere.

I'm too high right now to think of anything that triggers certain memories though :bigjoint: I can associate almost everything with memories.

I agree its really weird how you never think of these things in your life until something triggers it off, our brains must be like a filling system just waiting to be opened up. Its quite sad really I love to remember things that made me happy I wish I could think of them all the time but I have to wait until that certain trigger arises.

New running shoes bring me back, I remember as a kid thinking that I could run twice as fast and jump twice as high when my Mom bought me new shoes, it was quite a rush.....
That kinda reminds me of the slogan from the PF Flyers commercial.....makes me run fast and jump higher....PF Flyers
damn thats going way back
