Lol, I have covid right now. A fucking head cold. I was plugged up for two days, was a giant nothing burger, hold the something. The colds my kids have brought home from school and daycare so far this year have been far worse than covid. All stuck at home with kids that had a fever for 2 hours and are now driving us crazy because they cant leave the house. I can't believe we destroyed our economy and supply chain for this crap. Monumental fuckup considering the variant that ended the pandemic came from a place that rejected lockdowns and vaccines.
Imagine that, Democrats defending the sedentary lifestyles of those making big pharma rich so they can finance their campaigns.

CLAIM: President Joe Biden called for people in Florida to prepare for Hurricane Ian by getting vaccinated against COVID-19.
THE FACTS: Social media users are misrepresenting an August 2021 video in which Biden urged people in hurricane-prone states to get vaccinated in case they needed to evacuate or stay in a shelter.
As Hurricane Ian on Tuesday approached the southwest coast of Florida, where 2.5 million people had been ordered to evacuate, the out-of-context clip of Biden spread widely on social media. “If you’re in a state where hurricanes often strike, like Florida or the Gulf Coast or into Texas, a vital part of preparing for hurricane season is to get vaccinated now,” Biden says in the video clip. “Everything is more complicated if you’re not vaccinated and a hurricane or a natural disaster hits.”
Some social media users who shared the clip suggested that Biden’s comments were in reference to Hurricane Ian’s expected landfall in Florida. “Protect yourself from incoming hurricanes by getting vaccinated... right now!” wrote a Twitter user who shared the video on Tuesday.
But the video is from Aug. 10, 2021.
Biden made the comments prior to a White House briefing from FEMA Administrator Deanne Criswell and other officials about how the COVID-19 pandemic was impacting hurricane preparedness. But he didn’t say getting vaccinated would protect against hurricanes. In the full video, Biden discussed what he described as the upcoming “peak” hurricane season in the Atlantic region coinciding with the pandemic. “If you wind up having to evacuate, if you wind up having to stay in a shelter, you don’t want to add COVID-19 to the list of dangers that you’re going to be confronting,” Biden said in the video, later adding: “We can’t prevent hurricanes making landfall, but we can prevent people from getting seriously sick and dying from COVID-19.” Hurricane Ian made landfall in southwest Florida on Wednesday as a Category 4 storm, leaving destruction in its wake.
I just thought it was funny, and it is whether it's real or fake. Anyway, the pandemic is over for me and my family. Keep on wiping your groceries down if you please and living in fear of a cold. If you are healthy, remotely in shape, get regular exercise and sunshine you get a cold. Imagine, people a month ago were trying to force me to vax my kids with some shitty, useless vaccine that wasn't even tested on humans, who literally had a fever for 2 hours and a stuffy nose for 2 days.

It's true that the pandemic is over. It's also true that the virus is endemic and will continue to infect people. Also true that people who don't get vaccinated are at much higher risk of severe illness and long Covid.
Your second paragraph is a ridiculous and mindless appeal to emotion. The worst of it during the summer of 2021 was perhaps you lost employment over a requirement to be vaccinated. Employers have the right to require vaccination as a condition of employment. They still do. Not sorry about that. "Concentration camps" for the Covid infected happened in China. Maybe it's me. There was a time that I agreed with much of what he said. His account's monomania over lockdowns seemed to be a change. But then again, maybe not. Doesn't matter. The lockdowns worked.

I also challenge the assertion that lockdowns were bad for the economy. What was bad for the economy was the virus itself, with its parade of variants.
And to a lesser agree, our executive’s chaotic and sadistic response to the objective reality of dealing with the emergent situation.
“Testing causes the pandemic” was broken reasoning, and a real jaw-dropper to hear from people in places of responsibility.

Trump used the federal emergency stockpile of PPE as items of patronage and dispensed supplies to states that were supplicant to him. Trump literally killed people to make an example of states that did not tow his line. let us not forget.

I disagree. I'm not saying people should not pursue damages if they think they have been damaged and there is legal recourse. If they have been damaged, remediation is their right. But punitive damages as a deterrent? I don't think anything would have changed Trump's behavior. He wouldn't be deterred for any amount, especially if it was public money at risk.
