OHG, Welcome dude. Born and raised in Minnesota...and while I never followed their concert trail selling T shirts...I love the Dead. Especially early stuff. This is your welcome present...JD

    CMH lighting set up ideas

Hi guys, I run 2 315s mounted horizontal in a generic GH hood (can't recall model) I like the remote ballasts and wired mine together with switches so I can run one or both. They are covering roughly 3x3 area though. In a 4x4 tent...and like Tint implied, you're gonna have to move some plants...

    ~Nute burn? Help please!~

GD, Drying out helps roots grow as they seek lower moisture in the pot. Better pictures would help plus you didn't give us any info in medium and such. JD

    25 yr old seeds

Indeed there is...but at what cost. One technique that I understand will work on almost any live seed...is to use tissue culturing from the tap root. You still need germination which is not too hard with proper technique. JD

Michigan: can i sell to a licensed grow facility?

The regulatory agencies have regs regarding how the cannabis is grown. It cannot be legal to do what you suggest. JD

flowering under a 600 watt HPS bulb with ballast dimmed down to 400 watts

Mcoocoo, I veg under a 250w mh bulb running in a 400w digi ballast dimmed to 60%. Starts and runs smoothly. No light meters...but the plants like it. JD

What kind of deficiency is this

I;m gonna refer you to an RUI oldtimer. @OldMedUser He uses AN nutes and is a very experienced and competent grower. If he doesn't reply...pm him. He will have an opinion. lol JD

What kind of deficiency is this

Ltb27, I wanted to backtrack a bit. CannaCountry's comment about ph was spot on. Not that familiar with promix plus they market a bunch of stuff. But 6.2 to 6.4 might be better. I don't usually get concerned with a few 10ths...but at 5.8, you are quite a bit off. Couple other things I...

What kind of deficiency is this

Ltb27, I wouldn't increase nutes. I think you may be high. Your numbers are all good...but that bronzing along the edge. Seen it with very light overfeeding. The other leaf...I don't know. If I'm right and there is some blockade nutrient interaction going on...it's very early. My plants do...

Non-Organic nutes in Organic Soil, would you for a quick fix? Dire situation

Deke, If you have a clear cut deficiency...you can foliar feed to protect your micro-herd. But I'm not quite sure what the situation is. No feed other then the soil at this point? I'd foliar feed some Epsom salts. May only be a Mg def. which is an easy fix. JD

    Yellowing and browning edges

Newb, Nothing wrong with a good ppm meter. I have a Bluelab truncheon. I didn't say anything about weighing. You would benefit from more reading on nutrients. This is a sort-of step-by-step with nutrient strengths and other data...it's a good newb read...

    Yellowing and browning edges

Newb, Read this carefully...because I am not trying to insult you. I do not believe your statement about dosing. I think you believe it to be true...but something's going on that you may have missed. If you were showing deficiencies at what...800 ppm? Just seems unlikely. Those heroic doses...

    Yellowing and browning edges

Newb, In my post...there was a typo I couldn't edit. I do not believe your situation warrants a flush...no flush for now. I believe the plant will grow through it...as long as you're conservative from now on. 1300 ppm is not a weak dose. I start seedlings at 250 ppm, veg at 500-600ppm and...

    Maybe a little rootbound?

Hi XT, Amazing plant dude. I had a buddy back in Iowa who would do that...but in coco. Soil must have been harder. Thanks for posting that. Cheered me up...anything is possible! JD

    Yellowing and browning edges

Ya NewB, you fed her too much. Look at the leaf color being quite dark green. Early sign of too much N. Np need to flush but let her dry out and give a few straight waterings before beginning at lower dose. Maybe 600 ppm and work up from there. I did that to some light feeding sativas my...

Worried for my photo ? Heeeelp

CaptainOG, EC is just one of those things you'll be learning. Essentially, it's a measurement of electrical conductivity which increases as dissolved solids increase. Meters all read EC and then internally convert that number to ppm. Usually an ec of 1 will give you 500ppm. Some strains...

Worried for my photo ? Heeeelp

Hi Capt'n, I'm not at all happy with our new RUI photo limitations...and sorry to say dude, I got nothing from the pictures. You say you give spring water...better check the EC on that stuff. What you want is "drinking water" which is same as RO. Some spring water is too high in minerals to...

    600w MH distance from seedlings.

Hey sKunk, I veg with a 400mh and keep it close to 20"...also have a 250mh that I place a little closer. Never used a 600mh but that sounds about right. Move it closer if they stretch too much... JD PS...noticed NAU post after...I understand his point. 600 is overkill. I use my 400mh over...

    Who remembers the 60's?

I remember my Dad attaching the rabbit ears to our first TV. Mid 50s and black and white of course. As a kid, my favorite show was Commando Cody and later the Howdy Doody show. Stretching my memory here... JD

    Who remembers the 60's?

Hi Gene, I graduated from High School in 1967 and immediately went on a major hitch hiking trip to San Francisco. I was wearing a tie died Nehru jacket and a top hat with a red, white, and blue bandana tied around it...and yes - bell bottom jeans. I was an oddity in the mid-west but fit right...
