You should have just used the coco from the bag. But re-doing the rinse and buffering is not a problem. But no...don't undo your work by rinsing again. JD

For reuse...I let them dry really good and then take them outside and shake and wack them around. Once dry all the roots become little whispy strings that just blow away... JD

Not an easy question since the chemistry can be complex. I would say one of the most important elements is the buffering sytems. Soil tends to be self-buffering while hydro systems rely on the chemical reactions with the nutrients. JD
