How to Take Clones of Such Small Bushy Strain

Nah GG you're not crazy...wait...come to think of it, I don't know that for sure! 8) Back in the olden days...to sex a plant, we'd put it under 12/12 until preflowers solidly identified gender. Then right away...back into veg light schedule (24h light is best) and the plant returned to...

How to Take Clones of Such Small Bushy Strain

    New to COCO, wanna help?

Yup those are hydro nutrients. I don't use them so just read the directions on the bottle...well except for dosage. Those are always too high. Being all GH I think it's safe to assume they will mix well. JD

    New to COCO, wanna help?

Diggs...that's hydro nutes right? Guys maintain reservoirs for weeks at a time. Just correct as needed. Not sure about rhe Armor Si...usually that stuff causes an upward drift. Careful with dose on the silica. More is definitely not better. JD

Newly transplanted clones not doing well

Soil grows do OK with a wider range of ph...sort of self buffered. Lots of info out there...

Newly transplanted clones not doing well

If that happens again...just dump some out and use tapwater as ph up. I works for me and my water is 7.5 ph. If you massively overcorrect...then just dump it and start over. Indeed...lots of what we do is trial and error. 8) JD

Newly transplanted clones not doing well

Geezy, Apparently it was something that you did. Sheesh dude...this is a soil grow right? Why all the hoopla over ph? JD

Newly transplanted clones not doing well

Hi Greezy, I just wanted to comment on this. Clones are different then seedlings. They are essentially adult plants...or rather as old as the Mother plant they were cut from. So the whole hot soil thing really isn't an issue. If they have roots, then they should be able to handle it. Maybe...

Urgent outdoor plant about to die!

You mean like hydroton? I'd think that it would improve drainage. Did the plant ever get an opportunity to really dry out? Well whatever...better luck on your other plants. JD

    How to make cbd oil?

Sunshine, Easiest way would be to find seeds for a plant that already has those ratios. I've seen various ratios. And if you are making a full plant extract like cannabutter...no reason at all you couldn't throw a few high thc buds to achieve the effect you desire. As for measuring...I know a...

To all you Mainline experts, check this out

Hey man...they're coming along nicely. Your growing shoots/colas are nicely separated...whereas mine are all mushed together. My plan is to use some sort of support ring the held them apart and give them support once they get taller...but you may not need to do that. Of course height...

To all you Mainline experts, check this out

F4L, My best trained plant is a Matanuska TF and my black Widow did well too. Both are quite branchy. But I just couldn't figure out the best way to approach the single cola plants,..so am going to use a different method with them. So that's one opinion...for what it's worth... JD PS: I...

Good morning F4L...just a little aside. I live in a huge fishing area just off the Columbia river. Everybody has boats and are out on the river at the crack of dawn. Me, well I eat fish. lol Curious if your getting any vertical growth yet. Been thinking about these two methods and they...

Katt, Just to show you that we all mess up on occasiion. This 3' male was just removed from my garden this morning. The clone I cut to sex it died and I forgot to cut another one...got busy. At least I caught it before it was shedding pollen. JD

Need help telling sex of this plant. All other plants showing female.

I learned to grow before there were fem seeds...so it comes as second nature to sex them and then make seeds to replace the ones I used. No stress at all. Otherwise you're locked into a cycle of buying seeds for every grow. JD

    New to COCO, wanna help?

Hi Diggs, Nice sprouting results. The coco has essentially no nutrients so get use to providing them with everything. Starting now. The cotyledons won't carry them for very long. At that age I personallu use 1/8 strength nutes. Just something to sink their teetch in. lol And bump it up...

Need help telling sex of this plant. All other plants showing female.

CC, Using medical terminology...I'd call that ambiguous genitalia. Hard to call... If you had taken clone cuttings and put them under 12/12, you would have known the gender a month ago. And had a spare plant to boot... JD

6-Harvest Grower's plants keep dying in new grow room

Rog...I'm finding that the drops only give me a guestimate of ph. Seems like the ideal for coco would be yellow with a hint of orange. Is that what you're looking for? JD

    Question on small seeds? :-)

Hi King, I recently got some seeds in a giveaway. Sativa leaning CBD strain. Tiniest seeds I've ever planted. Maybe 2/3 the size of the small ones that Xtsho posted. I planted some out of curiosity and got tiny seedlings that eventually grew up. Now I can't tell which is which. I say plant...
