    Calcium Deficiency? Opinions Wanted!

You could bump it up in two steps if you're nervous. That's what we tell nubes all the time...ease into it. And I wouldn't worry about flushing the hydroton. If you are getting a ph reading from a solid bucket sample...then that's your number. When my Waterfarm unit got toxified...I was just...

    Calcium Deficiency? Opinions Wanted!

...he's back. OK this shot is a young plant in coco almost finished with training. Leaf on lower left is clearly from not enough nutes/mg. But the other problem plants from salt build-up started with burned tips and then a mottled brown over the whole leaf. JD

    Calcium Deficiency? Opinions Wanted!

Hi Logan, I very recently had a couple of plants show similar leaf damage. This was in coco and fairly young plants like yours. Turned out to be salt build-up in the coco. Not enough runoff. Is that a recirculating system? Could it be that you have something similar. Excess nute build-up...

    New to COCO, wanna help?

Good morning Guys, DJM over on ICMag tests his coco runoff weekly and has enough understanding to use that data to determine what strength he feeds for the next week. If runoff is over 100ppm beyond the fertigation solution...then nutes are lowered a bit. For me...this is an ideal to strive...

    Tips to avoid racing thoughts/voices/images?

Hi Flowki, If you're in a legal state...just go buy some cbd caps...to try out your idea. I've had some aniety and unwanted mental processes while tripping on shrooms. What psychedelic trippers sometimes do is to plan activities. Music or movies can distract and send your thoughts in a...

    New to COCO, wanna help?

Morning Diggs, Wrote you a garbled stoned message last night and forgot to hit "send". You're probably better off not getting it. lol Maybe try and look at watering from two different perspectives. Early on in vegging...the goal is to get good root development. Wet/dry cycles are best for...

    New to COCO, wanna help?

Hey Diggs, I was going to tell you that you can very easily treat root rot in coco. But after looking at the second photo. Those roots are fine. A little discoloration can just come from nutes. But actual root rot will give you slimy bad smelling roots. Bet those roots were clean smelling...

Rasol Highland Landrace - Taming The Himalayan Beast

Hi Osd, I'm an old timer just getting back to growing and in a new location. So I'm sort of figuring it out as I go along here. I have a bit of a perpetual harvest. Unplanned...just worked out that way. I have two plants about a month from harvest. At that point I'll put the most ready of...

Rasol Highland Landrace - Taming The Himalayan Beast

Good Morning RUI, Aladdin...how tall are those plant in your most recent post? Hard to get a perspective. Look to be over 4'...how's my guess? I've been practicing mainline training to prepare for training the sativas. Attached is a Kali Mist shot. I sort of screwed the pooch on my manifold...

    New to COCO, wanna help?

Seems to me if you are already using mykos...why add another. Their website says the original contains: -Bacillus subtilis -Bacillus amyloliquefaciens -Bacillus pumilus Check and compare to your mykos... JD

    New to COCO, wanna help?

I have a different brand...but definitely use it to kick-start roots after an up pot. I onlu use it going into my final pot. Initial up-potting...it just isn't needed. JD

    New to COCO, wanna help?

Mornin' Diggs, I maybe keep plants in solo cups a little longer then needed due to manifold training. Once I know they are fully rooted, then into 1 gallon plastic...and from there into final pot. 2 or 3 gallons fabric. I haven't included mykos in my coco prep but I may in the future. JD

What the f is going on

Hi Icetech, As you may have read above...5.8Ph seems to be the popu;ar coco number. But you feed at 5.0 with no issues? That is very intersting. JD

    Defenciancy problem please help

Hi DB, Nor sure what that is. What sort of humidity in the room? Plenty of air movement? I'm wondering if it might be one of the many leaf fungi that plague indoor growers. JD

Are soil mothers superior to hydro mothers?

Hundreds I would say...did sea of green for years. But I confess that when doing hydro back then...I kept Moms in soil. Now Moms are in coco like most of my plants. And my coco plants have solid stems...I always thought that was genetic rather then growing style. Good luck on your search for...

Are soil mothers superior to hydro mothers?

Nutrition isn't going to change genetics...your question was answered awhile back. I see seeds offered for sale that are organically grown...like it's going to matter to a seed. JD

Good morning guys, Alladin...love the new pix. Those spiky pistils look sorta like a punk hairdo... The GT is Golden Tiger...an Ace strain from crossing a Thai female to a Malawi male. JD

Are soil mothers superior to hydro mothers?

DaFreak and pals, I'm gonna assume that hydro includes coco and hempys. There's an old trick that provides cuttings with a little extra oomph. If you withhold N for about a weak before taking cuttings...then the stored sugars stack up in the leaves (high Brix) due to missing the crucial...
