Proper calmag buffering now, like Tint posted, is the only thing you can do now that will help your grow later on. That plus never flush with plain water.
The rest is up to your skill as a grower.

Erin,
Really sounds like your water is questional. Water ec 1.5 oh say 300 ppm is OK BUT 500 is probably too much. I have tried to grow in bad water...Ca issues always.
You do not need any calmag. It's all in your water.
JD
Well, it depends so much on the water you're using. With harder tap water...no calmag is needed. Dependent on what actually is in water. I'm having a bitch of a time getting a response from our water district.
But I filter out chlorine and chloramine and like I said...tiny amount calmag...
OK...cool.
So make sure your feeds are proper for that age plant. 5.8 ph is best for coco and I'd be feeding light at maybe ec .5 or so. 300 ppm and make sure to add calmag only if you need it (like with ro water)
My water is pretty good...around 80 ppm so I add only a tiny bit calmag. To...
erin,
I recently made a sort of emergency purchase of a bag of Black Gold brand coco. I read on the label desalinized. I mostly buy bricks and soak and buffer them myself. This is an important step.
Anyway...I'd gently repot the plant in a different medium. And gently wash off the old coco...
Wolfmoon,
Well...you're there with the plants. And I don't grow autos so no help there. I'm trying out my first batch of re-used coco...going OK so far.
Hey on the powdery mildew thing...the damn spores are everywhere. It starts growing when conditions are correct. High humidity and lack of...
Hi Wolfmoon,
Couple of things about coco. Even when wet...there's a certain amount of air in it. Only the real dense coco peat will actually get waterlogged. So your worries about root death and anaerobic growth are blown out of proportion. And watering brings in more O2 to the rootzone...
New age United,
I don't know why you feel this reason to proselytize. That is not the Buddhist way. You seem to be experiencing some sort of personal vision relating to the path toward enlightenment. You see the path...but the path is not the goal. I apologize for intruding on whatever it is...
Erin,
You said that you did your own calmag charge on the coco. Did you also do a presoak to eliminate excess salt. Cleaning and preparing coco is a two step process.
What I'm getting at is this...your little stunted plant looks exactly like a seedling looks when the coco has residual salt...
Just to clarify...I did not say suffering CAN BE caused by unfulfilled desire. Those were NAUs words. What I said is this: All human suffering is caused by unfulfilled desire.
This is the core of Buddhist teaching...so to argue against this comment is to argue with the Buddha. Good luck...
Guy,
If you choose to raise your nutes as high as teachertom suggests...do so slowly and carefully. I rarely go over 800 ppm.
As a family of plants...cannabis likes and needs magnesium. In plants, it's a core molecule in photosynthesis. So there is a reason why Mg deficiencies occur so...
Guy,
I just wanted to comment on all the different ph numbers being thrown out. This is sort of where art meets science. People develop their own way of doing stuff. Different grow styles like RDWC vs Ebb & Flow, vs coco. All different and then add in different strains and phenos. So learn...
Guy,
Just so you know...I don't believe you can get toxic salt build-up in RDWC so cross that off the list. Mg deficiency I'd go along with.
And ph is OK but let it drift. When you correct down to 5.5ph...allow it to drift upward to maybe 6.2 before correcting again. That exposes roots to a...
How can you grow pot and not know about hermis? Yup it's a thing. Stress of almost any kind or genetics...can cause the plant to herm, produce male flowers and pollinate your garden. So better read up on that...

PS They all look female to me. Males usually are taller and show sex...
Morning Smiff,
I think iot's best to assume the directions on the nute bottles are way to hot. They usually are. So for me...I'd assume 1/2 strength is my target goal. And start at 1/4. You may never reach full strength...but lots of guys think that way. Time and again I see burned plants...
Hi Zeus,
Wow...that was a close call. Those numbers, that salt build up...could have easily killed or severely damaged your plants. So the spotting was actually early nutrient burn. The yellow tips and brownish edge...clearly early burn. Glad you caught it in time.
Just yesterday...actually...
As I read this thread, I knew someone would post that. So no worries, if it wasn't you. it would have been someone else. lol
It was a little nerve wracking first time I fed a tiny seedling in coco...but they get behind the curve so fast. So I start feeding early...
