Missed this post. Not a bad idea. Drop the total nute regime but bump up the Mg. Worth a try and won't hurt anything.
And related to transpiration...you should be sure your relative humidity is high enough. Are you familiar with vapor pressure deficit. I am no expert but it related to what...
I dunno either. lol The K deficiencies I've seen are usually related to nutrient excess causing K lockout.
I've heard that the LED klights can change leaf transpiration and can mess with nutrient take up related to that. Hopefully you will get an LED guru to comment. I'm not one. But a...
Curious about this. Did you test that or did it say that on the bag. Is it referring to nutrients added to the soil?
The plants don't look too bad...so if there is a burn...it's mild. What Pulpo said about maybe Mg. That edge burning fits with that. Check your nutrients to see what Mg it...
BB,
You're just talking the 1" or 1 1/2" ones I assume. No problem. What you were reading...rockwool into hydro was probably referring to the water root vs soil root issue. It may take a short adjustment period...just a few days and the roots will accomodate the medium.
Bigger cubes can be...
Hi Animal Mother,
I gave TJ that advice because it's his first coco grow. I feel it's important to understand a medium well which will come within a few straight coco/perlite grows. And then later try introducing organic components.
If the coco is a smaller amount of the whole...then sure...
Turbo dude...that is one fine looking sativa...really too bad you don't have more headroom. Bend it soon so the side branches can develop. Once you remove the apical meristem influence by supercropping...the side branches will take over. You'll probably need to do a little leaf pruning and...
But you're not growing with that water...are you?
And JD or anyone else who has a response...and apologies if this seems like a dumb question.
I learned to clone years...no decades ago and always just cut so I had a nice clean section of stem. But someone pointed out that including a node is...
Char,
So you don' know the sex yet? It could b a male which tend to grow taller...so they can spread their seed far and wide.
As a general rule sats will stretch x3 Indicas will double.
And to further mess with you...the stretch is usually measured as a percentage of total finishing time...
Yes you are correct. Floaters (that never sink) float because their innards are rotted out. I just talked with an RUI guru who confirmed that fresh seeds sink right away. So guys, please don't toss your sinkers.
Yes if you insist on using that method...now is the time. Better to just go...
bk78,
Well it takes experience to learn to read your plants. Now, because of your failure, you know what a starving plant looks like. 8) Just don't do it again. You must have really gone overboard.
Nute strength is fairly easy to assess. If you are using a quality balanced nutrient...then...
Well you could try. I wouldn't water to runoff each time. Maybe once a week and check it. If you're inclined to do such things. Look for trends, not specifics.
This is a problematic question...but what he was getting at is giving just enough for the plant to flourish and no more. People...
bk78,
Are you talking coco? I read a grow thread recently where the guy measured runoff and if it was within 100ppm of what went in...then all good. If the difference way way higher...then he flushed to get rid of salts. Big commercial grow...expert grower.
In soil...runoff seems to be less...
I have a triploid growing right now and was just talking to another RUI member who has one too. Mine is looking more male every day. If I get pollen from it...I'll run some seeds to see if it carries through to the next generation.

Yes DD I think they are a little dark for my liking. Too much N can slow flower initiation. You need some but not too much.
On the harsh smoke from N...a proper drying and curing is the solution there. One experience I had trying to do a late flower P boost was that it totally killed the...
Many water departments use Chloramine as well...which does not evaporate. Personally I run my water through a charcoal filter to remove it.
Like Hooha suggested...there'more to it then that. Get a water report...usually posted online. Your water is very important and partially determines...
I smoked Blue Dream earlier this week and found it to be quite energetic. Well for me...being an old fart with a slower metabolism.
I've smoked the original Panama Red and Columbian...among others. Sativas were all we got early 70s. And indeed they buzzed you good as well as being quite...
Thanks Smoke...
I just figured since it was his first time using Jacks and it happened after feeding...that it was nute related.
Plus I am very light on the nutes ...
