Jedi,
Too much of everything. A plant that size I would go with 500ppm (ec 1) max. I'd say a good flush, a rest and then re-start nutes at lower level. Less really is more...

This does not meet with my experience. Not only that...I've been growing since 1975 and never heard that. I believe you are wrong.
I recently soaked 11 seeds. Half sunk right away...the rest were on the bottom next morning. All 11 germed nicely.

The best advice to give you is to grow coco the way other people do...meaning not organic. It can be a tricky medium for a variety of reasons. Get coco growing down...and then experiment with organics later.
I grow with coco using MaxiBloom and calmag.

I had been growing 20 years before trying hydro. Later when the coco thing was starting there were lots of seedling/clone failures because of residual Na+. But with properly prepared coco coir...you can do it all.
I just looked at my clone area and had to laugh. Seems like I've been cloning...
Well ask me in a couple of months. Notice how deftly I now made it your responsibility. 8)
I got the seedbank name wrong...

When people write Matanuska Thunderfuck, it's often softened a bit through spelling. I understand Alaska Tundra is the same strain...
Sorry...no can do.
But I can tell you how to lower ph really slowly...the way farmers do it. They add sulfur which bacteria change to sulfuric acid. Thus lowering the soil ph.

Got the seeds from Alaska seed cache...they listed then as Matanuska Thunderf*ck.
I broke one of the shoots while training. Snapped at the node. It hung on like that for two days...still green. So finally I tied it up and it healed. These plants amaze me.
Will try and remember to let you...
Hi TreeFiddy,
They seem to be one of those things that some hate and some love. Plants can have soil roots and water roots (fatter). My feeling is that if you do lots of clones for hydro...then a cloner might be a good idea. The water roots will then be immediately hydro ready.
But if...
JD,
I recently germed 11 seeds. All popped and appear normal but one. Had not just 3 fan leaves but had 3 growing shoots from one node. I had decided to try mainlining on these plants so topped it at 3rd node...the manifold is a three way. I just inspected it and subsequent nodes above that...
Doco,
One little comment. You seem to have your own very specific way of doing things...and that's cool.
But ask yourself why a seedling would be Mg deficient when clearly you were adding in enough calmag.
It was not being absorbed...and doing a foliar workaround will not cure the original...
Lots if potting soil is precharged with time release nutes.
The issue is if you have too much butrient...there's nothing to be done. Can't flush because that will release even more.
Only timed release use that makes sense is for remote outdoor plants that are hard to get to.

Hi Doco,
Sorry about misreading that. EC...I really should start using that rather then ppm. A more universal number.
Well...I don't think the perlite percentage is an issue. People grow in 100%.
Not sure about your additives. Mycos, silica and humic acid. Not bad choices but maybe back...
Doco,
Need to know what water you're using. The whole Ca Mg issues in coco is important.
...over 800 ppm for that size plant is bad. I feed my small plants at 300ppm or so.
Your plant actually looks like it could use some Mg. But considering your nute level...it could be lockout.

Hi Sage,
I love the little peat pots. Much better then peat pucks or rockwool. What you have to remember is that once you bury them...the peat will stay moist and will be easy for roots to penetrate. Been using them for twenty years. I do tear off the bottom just because it's something you...
