The Great RIU LST Thread. Low Stress Training

That's an interesting technique. Not sure if I like the clotheshanger. Not a metal one sticking into the soil anyway. That's a rust factory, so be mindful of that. Thats why I went with wood or bamboo skewers. I like the knot idea though. bongsmilie:peace:

First grow, CFL all the way (crappy pics)

There isn't a good consistant answer. There are too many variables. Soil composition, temperature, humidity, plant size, plant type, air movement.....the list goes on. Its not rocket science it's watering a plant. Using the right soil with good drainage is key. With real good soil its difficult...

Still getting little pieces of info lol. Now we get that it wasn't even a pot, it was a milk jug lol. That wasn't mold, that was probably algae And you should know that plant roots dont like LIGHT. Use a real pot. There's your problem. 11 posts before you finally gave the info needed to solve...

DUDE! next time.....DESCRIBE YOUR SITUATION!!!! DUH!!! Finally we find out where the mold is!! Of course YOU dont need a picture! But we dont know what the fuck your talkin about! You need to combat the SOURCE of the mold. You should not have mold down in your pot. I thought you just had some...

    mold

yes h202. mix it 50/50 with water and spray the soil. Spray do not pour. Get better air movement and /or quit watering so much. The surface of your soil should not remain moist enough to get moldy.

    Help please problem with molasses!

Yeah I would just water for now, they look terribly overfertilized. What is your medium. My plants always LOVE a molasses feeding. But I bubble it into a tea for 24 hour or more. Molasses feeds the soil microbes that in turn feed the plant. It's like the molasses "lit up" your soil or...

    feeding when in flower?????????

Molasses is a refined sugar product. It feeds the soil microbes whose soil activity (eating and pooping) helps makes nutrients more available to plants.

First grow, CFL all the way (crappy pics)

Good luck man. Don't over water them. Don't over fertilize them. And don't harvest too early. Those are the big 3 that everyone F's up. lol Looks like you've already got the overwatering part down. Happy growing.

    mold

What are you talking about mold on your roots? That dosent not make any sense? How can you see your roots to see mold on them. Is it on the surface of the soil. What is your medium?

    Feed for mothers

I had to feed my mom about every two weeks or she would start to become a little pale looking. It depends on what size pot you have her in. Mines in a pretty small pot for a mom. You can feed just about anything that has a little of everything. I use Grow Big 6-4-4.

    brown bag necessary?

Good link Brick Top. That one says 1 to 2 weeks drying before putting into jars. Thats exactly what I aim for. 50% RH is ideal.

    brown bag necessary?

If your buds are dry in under a week they dried to fast IMO. You want your bud to dry as slow as possible. That's what curing is...really, really slow drying. Obviously the smaller buds do dry quicker. Drying time totally depends on bud size and RH. I dry in a dark closet with no fan. I treat...

    brown bag necessary?

I don't do the paper bag. I've heard people complain it affected the flavor. I put it right in a jar (after drying at least a week) and close it for just a few hours. Then open it up and sniff. I gradually increase the amount of time that the jar is closed according to how it smells. It's been...

    Seedlings bending at the base

CFL's get a bad rap. They make awesome buds. They're just not good for BIG plants. Fluoro tubes are a little different, but still work great for seedlings. They should be kept under an inch away.
