First indoor grow - Bag seed

Day 8: To my surprise (and delight) they began stanking on this day, if you stick your nose right up in it. Soooo yummy, and so much earlier than I expected. Also, this day was the climax of an issue regarding the new leaves turning brown. I posted about it on the plant problems forum, and it...

First indoor grow - Bag seed

Howdy. Lets begin with some basic information about my grow. Total number of plants: 3 Start date: Planted germinated seeds on 4/17 - One appeared on 4/18, and the other two popped on 4/19. All were established and growing by 4/20 Strain: Unknown mid-range bag seed. All I know for sure is that...

Tiny PC Case Personal Grow - First Grow In Almost A Decade

Hey man - I'm loving what you've done so far. Furthermore, your grow log is an absolute godsend for my educational purposes, and I'll explain why: I have begun my own experimental grow around the same time as you. I planted 3 germinated seeds On 4/17, and they sprouted on 4/19. I considered...

    Boron deficiency?

Good to know. The fact that it seemed so out-of-the-ordinary was the reason I came asking for help, anyway. It's cleared up now, so whatever it was isn't an issue for now. Thank you all for your help. You all represent this forum well, and I'll be sticking around.

    Boron deficiency?

I do indeed let the water sit before using it. I've got three 18 oz bottles on retainer, and I use the oldest one first. Then I refill it to be be placed at the back of the queue. The funny thing is that my last grow (windowsill) yielded 4 our of 4 females from this same source of reg...

    Boron deficiency?

I understand that boron deficiency is uncommon, which is why I felt the need to ask. The symptoms didn't seem to point towards anything else. I don't have a way to test PH or humidity at the moment, but the PH has got to be whatever Fox Farm Ocean Forest is after 10 days of watering, and the...

    Boron deficiency?

Hey Kills - I just want to let you know that I'm taking your advice, as I'm starting to think it could indeed be heat stress. I've more than doubled the light distance to 6-12 inches, and set the fan from Low to High. After doing a longer hand-test of the environment, I would say the temp...

    Boron deficiency?

Is the browning of the new leaves what looks like heat stress, or is it the wonky growth of the oldest leaves?

    Boron deficiency?

I mean, unless room temperature is too hot for them, I don't see how this could be heat stress. I don't have a thermometer yet, but a hand-test indicates it's barely more than room temp (1-2 degrees at most), which is what I've read is ideal. I've googled around, and it looks like heat stress...

    Boron deficiency?

My CFL puts off very little heat - I can keep my hand on it for 30 seconds without having to let go, and after a couple inches of distance its barely noticeable. on top of that, I have a fan blowing on them almost constantly, for heat reduction and root/stem development. I never considered it...

    Newbie here. Having some problems

Yeah I have to agree, it's most likely transplant shock. The yellowing is not nearly as bad as I figured from your first post (almost non existent) which would've progressed much further if you had been watering incorrectly this whole time. No need to worry.

    Newbie here. Having some problems

Couple things first: 1) These photos looked really washed out from the light. You'll take much better photos with the light off, or further away. I assume they are all solid green, with no discoloration problems, but I can't tell since they are so orange from the light. 2) You can edit your...

    Unclear what's up

The spindly-ness looks like stretching for light, and the yellowing/shriveling looks like nitrogen deficiency. Before you do anything though, I think you should clip off the dead leaves. At a certain point, they do more harm than good. Can we get a picture of the entire plant? Ultimately its...

    Boron deficiency?

That is good to know. My last grow used totally different soil, and none of the dozens of seedlings or adult plants showed this sign. Would that suggest that after this grow, the soil will be depleted enough to avoid burning seedlings? I also updated my original post to inform about my light...

    Boron deficiency?

Hello - first time poster here. I'm having some cosmetic issues (and possibly stunted growth-rate) with my week-and-half-olds. I've studied and studied this shit, but I have no other friends with growing knowledge, so I'm turning to y'all for a confirmation. QUESTION: Is this a boron...
