Turn a Closet into a gold mine Growset up, plan, I am detrimed

A computer fan as an exhaust fan, blowing the heat out of the tub? Put the exhaust up high and some holes for fresh air intake near the bottom and that should work great. :)

Turn a Closet into a gold mine Growset up, plan, I am detrimed

Are you just going to have them in a tub with no lid, or inside a rubbermaid with lid? If in a closed rubbermaid, yes you may need a small exhaust fan.

Resembles ozone damage too. But you mention spraying them every day - is it burn from being under the lights while wet from spraying?

About 2 weeks to go. . what you think?

Looking good! It looks to me like the bud density in the center of the top pic is far greater than anywhere else in the canopy. If that's not just an illusion created by the angle of the camera, then it suggests the rest of the canopy would benefit from more light. A second light or light mover...

    Closet ebb n flow Setup

I'm watching Rec. :) Switching to HID lighting will make a HUGE difference in your yield and quality, very good decision. As far as having fewer plants than you hoped for, just veg them a bit longer and perhaps top them before you flower them in order to fill in some of the extra space.

    vertical growing

That 5hit: There is no need to even rotate the flowering plants when around the vertical bulb. Rotating just makes the plant use energy turning the leaves to face the light again, rather than using that energy to produce a little more growth that day. :) For those that have trouble accepting...

    Pollen vs Clones

Your clones are at no risk to pollen until they flower. Then any pollen still in your circulation fan or whatever can seed your new crop. Be thorough in your cleaning. Are you 100% sure none of your clones came from the male plant?

    vertical growing

An often overlooked advantage of a circular vertical garden such as a coliseum is that every plant is close to the same distance from the light, and many of the plants are only a foot or so farther away from a second bulb as well. Add to that the fact that (in a well managed garden) the bottom...

    germination

How soon after starting to open should they be taken out of the shot glass and put in the rooters? Do you wait till they completely open or just till the tip of the tap root shows? Almost all my experience has been with clones, not from seed.

    Rubbermaid grow tent?

Your ventilation setup looks great. :) Don't forget you'll need a fan for circulating the air within the tent as well.

Can I add a breaker without turning off the power to the panal?

That's the only breaker box on the property? It seems more like a sub panel that would be turned off from a breaker on the main panel. What country are you in? I've done lot's of work in live panels, and I'd like to add one thing to the advice you've been given. Keep in mind that electricty...

A Bored Electrician to Answer Your Questions

I don't have access to the fans to get the wattages, they belong to a friend. I'll get that info to calculate how low he can safely reduce the voltage when i talk to him next. I'm more interested right now in the power supplied by the variac. Is there any kind of feedback issue or other concern...

A Bored Electrician to Answer Your Questions

Maybe you can help with a question about variacs/autotransformers. When using a variac as a fan control is it safe to run more than one fan from the same variac? The one in question is rated 11 amps which is plenty to handle the 465cfm squirrel cage and the 8" can fan. Either fan works fine...

Wire nuts with electrical tape over them. Wrap the tape around the nut in the direction that will keep it tight. If you are planning to do that to just make one longer cord you should be ok.

Experienced Electrician! Here to Answer Any and All Growroom Electrical Questions

Variac question. Is it safe to run multiple fans from a single variac rated for sufficient amperage to handle the load? Household power is stepped down by the transformer on the pole, and we can use as many different devices as we wish as long as we don't exceed the amperage for a circuit. An...
