I first made a grow light with CFL's and posted a pic of it here:

Well, I got sick of questioning my CFL setup so I went to Menards and bought two of them 150W HPS outdoor flood lights. Modified em' a bit and:

I like them complete fixtures because they come with bulbs, ballasts and starters all in one box, and I know it'll work. According to McMaster Carr, each one has 15,800 lumens and is around 2500K. Probably overkill for my little NL Auto I got going, but my next grow's gonna be a little different.

And here's the queen in all her glory (go easy, first grow)

Thats dope. Props. You could definitely do better given a few runs with 300 watts

Your girl would greatly beneifit from the addition of reflective materials on the wall. At very least, i would slap some flat white paint on it. If you are on a budget, go to walmart and grab a couple emergency blankets in the camping section. They are mylar and only like $2 a piece. I have used them in the past and they work great!

Great DIY and nice lookin girl. Good luck

Thanks for the tip. That's the only closet in my house conducive to growing and it's not finished yet. This summer I'll be finishing it, then putting in removable updates so it'll double as a grow room. The nice thing is the temp is pretty constant. It's surrounded by rooms, none of the walls in this closet are on an exterior wall, so the temp stays really constant.
