Hello im new on this site but, I had my AG running downstairs, and i wanted to move it upstairs and take off the lights. However the i plugged everything in after i moved it ,and disconnected the lights and the pump stopped working. Now i have it set up exactly how it was downstairs with the normal lights and its still not working. Is there anyway i can take off that whole top and have it running? or would it not work because them lights are connected to the computer in it? i need help any suggestions out there???

make sure the contacts on the back are touching. and the lid is all the way down on the base. hold down the reset button till it blinks than switch it to salad greens. the ag will run without lighting. i guarantee your contacts arent hitting eachother.

The pump should still work even with the light hood disconnected. Radioshack has a "figure 8" power cord that will let you plug your light hood in by itself (I believe a sony playstation has the same figure 8 power cord). This is especially important when it comes time to flower since there is no 12/12 setting on the AG.

Hey i got a question. If i run the ag on a timer of 12/12 and the pump isnt runing for 12 hr will that hurt my plants?

you sure? I have the AG deluxe that was $240 and is only about 2 months old. If they do finally have 12/12 setting, it's about time.
Good call Martin, I just called AeroGrow International, and the rep said the latest model (pro-200) does have an adaptive timer that will allow you to set your own light schedule.

for those who have models that don't have an adaptive timer, the figure 8 cord and a $10 timer works just fine.

Yes you need the pump running 24hrs. Set the AG on salad greens and it will do just that. You will need your light hood to be hooked up by itself using a figure 8 power cord & timer, they have the power cord at radio shack.

Not true Its not needed to run 24/7 .. set it on tomatoes and it will run 18/6 ...
my little book that came with the AG says the Tomatoe setting is:
Light schedule: 16 on / 8 off
Pump schedule: 20 on / 4 off

Either way, 18/6 will work but why would you want to cut water supply off to your plants for 6 hours? Salad greens setting is the way to go.
