Black Gold Potting Soil

Has anyone used Black Gold potting soil with sucess? Pro-mix is $38+tax vs $8.50+tax for the Black Gold. I was planning of adding in peralite for better drainage in the Black Gold. Is this a good idea?

If no one used black gold potting soil, is there another cheaper alternative? Fox farms soil is $14 a bag and pro-mix is $38 a bag, I just want to find something that is lower price.

do u want to go organic or are you planning on using nutes?
