Canna butter brownies

Aloha all, some hang loose from the islands for brownies in the hammock and summer breezes in the shade, instead of substituting butter for the oil and lowering the temp and adding time cant we just make as box says and just add the canna butter along w everything else? And cook as directed? With or without greasing the glass dish with canna oil or butter too!

How hot is 'as directed?'

That's the real issue. THC breaks down at 292F. My boxes of brownie mix give options for 350 & 325, but also factor in that that's oven temperature not food temperature, so no matter what, you don't want the actual brownie batter/cooked brownies to hit 292f. Also with all such things, your food gets hotter to the exterior of the pan, so you may get uneven potency depending on the cooking.

Your right, the mix does not get nearly as hot as the oven temp. I just go with the brownie mix recipe and have made lots of batches for patients as a caregiver without any problems.

I like an 8x8 pan and make 16 thick gooey chocolatey brownies.

Bigger problem IMHO is getting the dose right. I have patients all over the tolerance spectrum.

Dude it's always random when I eat edibles. The right dose one day won't feel the same another day.

I'm about to gear up to do this. Haven't yet decided on my best path forward, though now that I've got a sous vide option for the decarb and infusion, I'll probably play with that. But wouldn't mess with baking temperature more than say 25f degrees in any direction with any recipe when baking (true in all cases not just edibles). I will either have to water-wash the butter a few times, or I'll go from one of the alcohol tinctures I've made. Either way, Mrs. LeastExpectedGrower won't tolerate. much in the way of herbal flavor. I also think I'll aim for 'less strong'... since they're brownies and I'd like people to be able to enjoy a reasonable sized snack rather than a postage-stamp sized tease.

Also, if anyone here actually likes to bake rather than just buy boxes of who knows what, this is by far the best brownie recipe I've tried.

My old boss hipped me to this one, and she referred to it as 'the solid gold brownies' because not only are the stupidly excellently good, but they're also not cheap to make. One time she made a double batch for a fundraiser bake-sale and was so incensed that they were selling them for a buck a brownie that she bought them all back and gave them to our office.

It also is really rich and 'deep' flavored so it would certainly do excellent to cover any herbal flavors.

That's a nice thing about chocolate and brownies, they're good at hiding the weed taste.

I've found rso or feco are good for taste as well. Partly because you don't need much, and partly because they have few terpenes. Terpenes are responsible for that astringent taste, but they do add to the effects.

Hydroxy 11 is a different thc from delta 9 thc. Edibles require your body to break them down and it seems we're all different in how we digest thc.

My wife can safely do more edibles than me, but I could out vape/smoke her. Go figure.

Best advice I have for you would be to take an edible with an empty stomach and combine it with something sugary (probably the edible itself) or caffeine. Both can amp the speed and amount of the effects. Good luck

Damn more caffeine? I feel like that could be dangerous for my health! Haha. Seriously though, I probably already consume 500-1000mg of caffeine most days. I'll see if I can time it all well one of these days and see if it helps.
The hardest part I would say is finding that perfect amount. I'm usually not as high as I'd like or passing out. I randomly can dose and get fucked up without getting sleepy but like I said it's hit or miss.
Maybe I'll try some kind of canna fat bomb with coffee on an empty stomach this weekend. Thanks for the tips.
