My doc and docs in general say pot is not proven to help depression or anxiety and makes things worse. More so for psych patients, me, more so.

The fatal flaw of statistics is they are not monitoring the weed people are smoking and everyone is smoking different weed. Theres weed that will make people happy when they are depresses, run the numbers with those. Anyone have any new data on medical cannabis?

Doctor never gave credentials, but I did find this by just googing it,

.

How many groups, controls, I dont know what data the doctors are pulling off of. Sources..
They say it hasnt been proven to help with anxiety but what about everyone here, they would say it helps I bet. And thats the thing everyone on this forum knows the weed that works best for them.

It's just another way to get a med card. I had a card for 10 years since I was diagnosed with a sprained ankle, lol.

No shit. The reason on the form was "ankle pain and sprain".

And if you've got issues already, weed is not the answer if you ask me.

I have a legal prescription in Canada specifically for anxiety and and there have been studies done that demonstrate its effectiveness - I don't have links handy.

Lots of new studies showing that psychedelics can also be very effective for anxiety, depression, PTSD, OCD, etc. Sadly, the majority of doctors are only interested in, and open to, pushing big pharma.

No family doc I've ever had would sign for medical cannabis, I've always used specialized clinics. Skype appointment, don't even have to leave the house.

Yea so Canada its legal so they did the research, and for people dying Iv heard those psychedelics studies, helps people.
Once again its the type of weed maybe those people got heavy sativa in those studies. Its pulled me out of depressed states in bed got me running.

Its better with doctors to lie and just say your the occasional user. I think doctors do supports drugs with back data, big pharma. I also think they might enforce hospital protocol. Im just pissed as a psych patient they are waisting my time with this bs. People are on coke and shit lying to them.
Yea med cards are a joke but I use it for belly pain and depression. But it doesnt work for that so Im smoking for no reason at all...

Retired medical professional here. Understand their positions. There is an almost total lack of scientific research on weed. If there was and it showed any benefit (and we know it would) the thinking would be different.

Medical cannabis? Cannabis is cannabis. If this god-damned government wasn't bought and paid for cannabis would have been removed from the DEA schedule years ago. It was made illegal by the wealthiest of men and remains illegal because of the wealthiest of people.

Learn to despise the wealthy. Not because of their money but for the absolute power that money buys them.

No data just my own anecdote.

I grow for my own high quality medicine but use simply for enjoyment as well. I wouldn’t even tell someone they could go to the store and buy what’s available to get the same effect because source is everything to me.

I think the journey and struggle to learn to produce my own meds has helped me really combat a lot of BS. Self perpetuating win.

I also don’t look at cannabis as a magical cure all. It’s a tool to help me do the heavy lifting. Any tool can be used to smash stuff too.

Then you’ve really got to look at the studies they are using to form their opinion. That rabbit hole is deeeeeeeeeeep deep.

What studies? Virtually every peer reviewed study has taken place in Israel. The Israelis use it extensively as medicine. Even though these were rigid studies the USA totally ignores the research there. The only answer is removing from the Schedule I group at least. This would free up universities to do extensive research.

I guess I was referring to the ‘docs saying it’s bad’ studies they’re using to form their opinion - not ones I’ve read. Everything I’ve read suggests that at worst it’ll expose issues you already had.

I guess I technically get anxiety when I have to go somewhere that people aren’t on board and I need to hide it haha. Like damn I know they gonna smell this shit for sure…
