Hello
I am not new to growing by any means but have been out of the game for quite some time and now with legalization I have pursued my passion.
I currently am trying to understand what’s happening.
I think I may know as I do use the Search function to try and resolve but this is getting insane .
Surely there is a simple solution that will magically fix it . No pun intended.

dwc
81.5 temp , lots of air 4inch into my tent and 6 out, lots of fans.
5.8 ph once a day
Using botanicare, grow pro
Calmag
Ro water
And a product called microbial mass , it’s a bacteria
Water temp would about 73.? Temp

It’s been alive for 90 days while I have mainlined trying to get it under control.

At first it looked like it was on but green, lol

many water changes to raising and lowering ec and every time the ph drops .3 daily.

Now the search function comes up with, there is an issue with my water, possibly I have something bad in it keeping it from taking up nutes and perhaps I should stop using this bacteria a together and try pool shock .

sorry to be so winded, but if you could steer me straight I would be very grateful.
Thank you

90 days?
Maybe just use the botanicare stuff for a while, don't feed real heavy.
Also I don't think you want to add cal/mag to complete nutes like that, it will lockout other nutes if there is too much.

Yes from seed, it’s been topped to 32. As it’s been so so slow .

Have always kept water to net pot , now I thought I’m suffocating it so lowered tonight a few inches to breath a bit .

Roots have no slime, I touch a bit tonight just to se there very dry like , white at ends but older stuff is a bit brown.

Ec was 1. 1 last 5 days I have lowered ec from 1.6 to 1 , and every day 5.8 to 5.4ish

And at first I was using Dutch nutrient formula organic for hydro but growth was slow so I switched to the botani and it looked fantastic for a week or two then went stagnant again.

Idk, I'm going soil this grow. My dwc was a disaster, I burned the F out of my plant by dumping nutes on it. Exactly at the ratios GH said to... Go easy.
Really don't think nute brands matter, read the labels, make sure you are getting something useful.
Most guys will recommend dry salts. Jacks 321 comes up a lot. A whole lot.

Read you botanacare bottle and see if it already has ca and mg, I bet it do. I know people say to add cal/mag like that, but it just caused me problems.
I'm just using the dynagro foliage pro alone, prob very similar to botanacare.

Ec was .6 , started to yellow so I slowly increased to . 7 then 8 , 9 same thing, ph drop ec stable.
Search more , read about others just mixing jug , lol

I grew in my house for 15 years , flood and drain , I did not have ec meter of ph,I just mixed the jug info.
I grew sea of green. Pulling 2-4 lbs from 90 plants in a 4x7 cellar every 75 days like clockwork.

this is a hair puller , lol

Here, hope you pick this up better than I did.

I have read through that numerous times, comparing my fertilizer to the examples and then the info contained.

Very good read then an hours worth of math and thinking . still cant come up with 60ppm of mag without spiking N as its everywhere ,lol.

And you mentioned lay off the calmag maybe, this would put quite a bit in there.

For the time being , I am just going to try this first idea and will know few more days .

Plant stands at attention , water level went down just a bit , ec did not move , ph down .4 , looking lime colored under light were you can see the difference

So that should mean , raise ec a bit , so raise .150 and ph to 5.8 . see what tomorrow brings.

Thank you the Info (fertilizer means more than just a fancy name or picture)

If the ec is dropping they are eating, if not they aren't. You can try to feed right at the break even point.

In my extremely short growing experience, the less I "help" the plants, the better. I'm sticking with base nutes and leaving the other stuff alone.

Visually they look better , measurably it’s difficult to tell with such swings.

Like this morning for example, quick look and there greener for sure, again standing at attention.

Ph really took a fall to 5.4 .

Also the water dropped and inch at least, that’s a first.

Ec stays the same 1.150.

So I look at this chart that’s around

Falling, Static, Falling
If ec 1.4 lower and if 1 raise.

So yesterday I raise from 1 to 1.15
So I am going to raise another . 1 tonight and hope this ph stops swinging.
She eats but only when the ph is right..

That’s good to know, thank you

With the water missing my fertilizer would most definitely make my ph go down but just looking for the stability so hoping just a bit higher and it would get better.

If I topped the water to yesterday the ph would go up and ec would go down a bit for sure.
Still trying to grasp the concept , were if i understand this correctly.

A bit higher ec is going to make it drink water and fertilizer at the same rate maintaining the ph.

Thanks again for all inputs.
