Eggs? Beneficial microbes? What’s in this pot?

Seems I’m posting only bug issues these days….
Ran out of room and decided to toss my Critcal Mass mom.
Was growing well, just decided I needed the space.
Unwrapped the air pot and this is what I’ve found.
Any idea what this is/was?
Should I be tossing the rest that where sharing a tent?

Could be ferts buildup but looks like eggs of some kind of alien.
There was perlite on top so there’s that for sure.

I’m not 100% sure but I would say that’s mold. I’m no mold specialist or anything like that, but if that was on my food I’d throw it out or if it was on her cooter I wouldn’t eat it just saying but again not a mold specialist.

Mycelium is common with us organic people, fuzz on the surface or santas beard.
Not sure if yours is related, did you feed any organic sugars to the coco?
I always think it looks like a bunch of cotton balls that have been spread out and lasted on top of the soil. Lol

When I first fed my earthbox, I pulled back the top 3 days later, and you couldn't see the surface of the soil. At all. It was completely covered in a thick mat of mycelium. Then the bloom ended and it looked like wet, dirty, snow. Lol
