Emerald Triangle Seeds- Royal Purple Kush and World of seeds- StrawberryBlue grow

Just though I'd post a couple pics (3 RPK and 1 SB grow). The specs-

Strains- 3 Royal Purple kush fem from Emerald Triangle and 1 Strawbeeryblue fem from world of seeds
Light used- 600w MH for veg ans 600w HPS for flower
Medium used- Expanded clay in DWC (not recirculating) in 3 gallon black buckets
Nutes used- GH flora series( lucas formula) no additives
Veg length- 24 days
Ph throughout- 5.8-6.2
res. temp- 61-72 F
Room temp- 62-80 F

I started with 5 RPK and the one 1 SB, through veg the RPK was looking awesome and branched out nicely ( no topping methods used) after day 24 of veg I switched to 12/12 and about day five they all started showing female flowers, with two of the RPK also having Male pollen sacs so, I got rid of the hermies and now have just the four. They are now 32 days into flowering, I had a little problem with the RPK's, I tryed to up the nutes a little and went with 9ml of micro and 18ml of bloom per gallon and they didn't respond well at all, the tips clawed and they stopped taking up nutes almost all together for a few days so, I flushed for 3 days and went back to the lucas formula and they are starting to look a lot better and they smell so freakin fruity its crazy. I don't know if was from the stress but, about a week ago I found male sacs at the bottom of another RPK I plucked them off and haven't seen any since but Im keeping an eye out for em. Anyway here they are.

Thanks! yeah the one RPK in the back is really frosting up the stems around the bud are even loaded with trichomes. It has more trichomes at this point into flowering then any other strain Ive grown. Sparkles like a diamond! I just wish that Emeralds fem seeds didn't have a tendency to turn hermie, atleast that has been my experience with em so far. I've heard their regs are the shit though.

Well found out that the I didn't get the pollen sacks soon enough some of the bud has seeds, I dont think all of it, looks like maybe 25-50% of the bud is seeded from what I can tell. The RPK fertilized the Strawberryblule, that could be an interesting cross. The plants grew awesome and smell fantastic, covered in crystals, I just hope that the hermie RPK doesnt pass to much of that gene to the seeds, Id like to grow some out and see how it does.

Sounds like an interesting combo for the future. I've been lucky growing PK. Haven't had a plant hermie with over a hundred under my belt. I got the seeds from BC seed king in Canada. Have also indulged in their white widow and god bud. The white widow was awesome quality wise but, was disapointed with the yield. Though, I did pull over 6 zips on one plant. I grew a 10 zip purple kush this summer outdoors in the northeast and it's about the best bud i've ever smoked. Not to step on your toes but, here's a pic from today of my girls 5 weeks in flower also, under a 600. Good luck man!

Ive heard a lot of people having problems with the fems seeds from ET but, their reg is suppose to kick ass. The RPK would be the shit, I bet, if it was their reg seeds.

+1 on the bc seed king. had purps and god bud. purps were awesome nice high great smell and flavor, god smelled sweet, good yields, jus didnt have the kik im lookn for.

I have a Emerald Triangle Mastodon Kush now, i jus took 4 cuttings off it. itl still be a lil bit before i roll any into flower, but im looking forward to it.

Purple kush feminized. Can't go wrong with the turnouts. As earlier mentioned i'm from the northeast with a very short grow period. With the right climaite I could easily pull a pound a plant.

I pulled a few small bottom lollipop buds off one of the RPK today and fast dried it, It was the best quick dried bud I have ever smoked, it gave me a very indica body stone and for around an hour or so at that. generally bud picked early gives me a quick head high for about 15-30 mins but not this, I think this it is going to be some couch lock smoke for sure. Can't wait!

Going to post some pics tomorrow.Going to try to get some good close ups of the frosty ass buds on the RPK. The bud is really filling in nicely and starting to swell on 2 of the 4 and they are really packing on the trichomes also.

Here are some up to date pics they are really beginning to pack on the trichomes and swelling. They smell so fruity and one of them has a rotten fruity almost fuel smell to it. The really dark looking smaller one is the strawberryblue and the other 3 are the RPKs.

All my girls are looking good! They are 6 weeks into flowering now and starting to get cloudy/milky trichomes. Im starting a 2 week flush in a couple days. Like I said earlier, all four of the plants have been pollenated by the RPK that hermied on me . I've never grew out seeded bud so, I really dont know what kind of yield I might get, I dont think they are seeded to bad so I might not lose much bud weight. I can tell bud growth has slowed down a lot, now they are just swelling(I hope not swelling from a shit load of seeds) I'm really excited about the RPK though, They are covered in crystals and have an awesome smell to them(very fruity). I'm going to post some more pics tomorrow when I do a water change.

Week 6- RPK pics. Going to start flushing in a day or two. One of the bottom branches broke while changing the water on one of the RPK so im going to dry it and smoke and see what its like. It looks and smells fantastic!

Week 6- Stawberryblue

Finally, one of the RPKs has started to show some purple! I was beginning to think that none of them would turn, its just on a few leaves right now. With the temps getting as low as 56f at night I hope the others start getting purple soon. I should only have about 2 weeks left on em. I started flushing 3 days ago. I'm going to post some more pics in a couple days. oh yeah, it turns out the plants are not seeded as much as I though. I took a few sample buds from various locations on a couple plants ( I just had to know how bad it was seeded) turns out that most of it was completely seedless while just a few seeds in the Strwbryblu.

I pulled one of the RPK and the strawberryblue yesterday, They were both mostly cloudy with some amber in there. Have them hanging right now, made some bubble hash this morning with some of the trim, I haven't got to try any yet Im still waiting for it to dry. I will put up some pics of the final product and smoke report as soon as its ready. I plan on harvesting the other two with a lot more amber and less cloudy trichomes, I'd say a week or so, to see the difference between the two.

I finally took some updated pics of the two RPK that I have left, both at week 9 and 2 weeks into flush. I'm going to harvest this week. The RPK and Strawberry that I pulled last week are almost ready for the jar, I will take pics of some nuggets when I fully manicure it. One of the RPKs in the pic (the one with red stems) is starting to show purple on some of the calyx tips but, it doesnt look like it will get much more purple given that it will be pulled this week. The Trichs are around 15% clear, 75% cloudy, 10% amber. I'm hoping by friday that it will be closer to 80-85% cloudy and 15-20% amber. I'm so ready to cut them down and get the White Siberian from Dinafem going. I have been a little disappointed with the RPK and the Strawberryblue, I had hermie problems from the get go (lucky that only a very small amount got seeded) and the yield is not what I was expecting but, the buds are covered in trichs and smell damn good so, maybe the quality will make up for the quantity. I'm about to take a sample toke off some of the dried RPK that is waiting to be cured and see how it is

I just popped an RPK! how much did she stretch in start of flower and over how long ??? im running two seperate scrogs now one with PPP and Critical Mass 28 days in flower and another with three wappas which dont stretch much and one PPP moved to flower room last night? just popped that RoyalPurpleKush .. Blue Dream Haze cali connect freebie....Blue Venom....Jilly Bean....Blueberry gum...

They were around 15 inches or so at week 3 when I started 12/12 they stretched slowly at first to maybe 20 inches the first week and then jumped the next week up to around id say 32'' and continued to stretch slowly for the next 2 weeks. Now they are 44''. so they more than doubled in 3 weeks of flowering and then slowed down, adding about 10'' the next 2 to 3 weeks. Looks like you have a nice line up ready! I'd love to try the Jilly Bean! Is your RPK fem or reg?

my RPK is Fem the Jiilly is Reg so we'll have to see with it? I have four other moms 1+ yr old a Phatt Fruity , Wappa, Critical and PPP once these others take off and I get them cloned into a new batch of moms I'll be thinning out my stock maybe down to 6 or so?? Im sitting on a pretty big bank of seeds.....im finally starting to cycle through the lot..
