I've read that you can speed up maturity of a flowering plant a little by shortening light cycle but it's not really proven. Plants still need 12 hours of darkness to trigger flower phase but you can make your buds finish a tiny bit faster by going to say 11/13 thereby tricking the plant into thinking winters coming faster. It's better to be consistent & finish your buds in breeder specified flowering times of course and messing around with light cycles is a known way to incur issues like hermied branches & such. Stick with 24 18/6 or 12/12 anything else is experimenting with the unknown.
