Had to chop 4 mothers. Feels bad.

Title.

For reasons that I felt were beyond my control, I had to go full emergency protocol on the garden.

4 beautiful, healthy mothers that had already cropped, revegged, and produced dozens of clones—axed. All the clones—axed. incinerated.

It hurts, you know?

I’d intended them to live forever. Or, as long as me.

I just set up my garden in a new location, and seeing the first seed sprout… I almost shed a tear for the 4 I’d chopped.

i don’t have a point.. just need to share, cuz I don’t know anyone else who would understand what killing a mother plant means—let alone 4.

What reasons? Mold? Pests?
Nothing garden related—we had to move, and I didn’t realize how simple it would have been to keep them alive. A metal lock box would have preserved their genetics easily, while preventing unwanted attention. I’ll miss em.

my new setup is small, but highly secure—and the 5 seedlings are happy in their self-watering pots :)
