Have to hide plants for a couple days

I have someone coming over to visit for a full day for sure, possibly 2 days. Luckily my plants are still in pots so I can move them. I was thinking of just putting them in my closet for a few days until my guest leaves, but I'm wondering how this will affect the plants. What will a day or two of darkness do to them? I don't want to stress them anymore than they've already been.

Any advice?

Can't you just tell the guest that you're not a criminal but you smoke weed and prefer having your own? I mean, even my parents understand that :P

The guest knows I smoke and is cool with it... I just don't want to go through the hassle of explaining the plants, medical card, etc. I'd rather just hide them.
