HEPA filters instead of carbon filters?

Has anyone ever tried this?
They supposedly use these to make 'clean rooms' and stuff, I was wondering if it would scrub odors as good as a carbon filter (or maybe better?) etc..
Has anyone had any experience trying this, or think it's a good/bad idea?

I was reading up on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Air_purifier#Purifying_techniques about different filtration methods..

I'm making a stealth cabinet and want to ensure that there's going to be no odor at all or absolutely as little as possible..
Any ideas in the odor control category are appreciated too
