how long can seeds germinate

So in the morning i just barely noticed the tap roots beginning to show on my seeds but i dont have soil so i cant put them in yet and i plan to get soil tomorrow and i just need to know how long i have to get my babys in some soil haha thx :D

You're definatly good till tommorow if your just starting to see a tap root. In fact, you could even wait another day on top of that if needed. Just keep them in the same conditions their in now; moist and in a dark place.

The longer the tap root, the more delicate the transplant will become. Break that tap root and it is game over.

If in Tissue Paper tha Tap Root will start to attach itself if You leave too long...

I was germinating a few seeds, then had to leave town on an emergency and didn't return for 12 days.

the tap roots were all curled up and gigantic (I bet they would have been near a foot long if straighten out) ...too bad I didn't take a pic of them

BTW: both sprouted healthy but become males

Damn thats crazy hahaha thx man just got my baby in some soil today so all is well but now i need to know what to do with them?

When using known viable seeds I ALWAYS see a taproot after 48 hours in the wet paper towels. I check them on day 2 in the baggie and 90% of them go into dirt after 3 days germing.
