How to not get fat while toking?

Carbohydrates/starches are the biggest problem. Simple sugars are easily metabolized into fat by the human body. Beef Jerky or bacon are preferable snacks over chips/cookies/sugary drinks/anything with HFCS.

I think some people get the munchies way worse than others. I think old school hard core smokers don't notice the effects near as much as a casual smoker who will get the 'rob the fucking fridge' munchies lol.

Indeed this is a life-long ongoing battle for me as I'm very overweight but I've noticed that there isn't much of a change in my eating habits if I smoke or not. I've even been put on phentremine by my doc for a few months and I dropped some weight but was also tweaking balls the whole time and hated it. (I also have rondom chest pain now that I didn't have before.)

The only thing that keeps me from munching when I'm baked is to keep myself and my mind occupied with projects so I don't think about it. =)

Man, i'm not totally convinced yet, but i'm considering looking into starting up a high quality beef jerky co in the UK. At the moment we have Coan Biltong (shite) and Rocking JC beef jerky (average and very expensive).

Other than that we seem to have no good quality beef jerky or otherwise, and any your find is about £5 a packet. It is very very tempting, i've never had such good jerky as that which i bought in san diego, just bought huge strips of the stuff, in the UK, no chance :(

Drinking lots of water works pretty well for me. It stops the muchies and deals with the cotton mouth. Before i vaporize i fill a nagien bottle with cold water. Before the high kicks in I start to drink the water.

I used to make 100 lbs a week, finished product. It was a real pain and a lot of work. Every step was done by hand. Did it on racks
in vertical smokers 12 to 13 hours. At $35 to $46 per pound depending on soak time, I made enough to not worry about the bills then a friend approached me. I still get .12 cents on each piece he sells. Got another guy that wants to market my home made BBQ sauce. My Pops started the BBQ-Sauce back in 1963 and I still use his recipe. Some killa sauce. I'm just a pothead, not looking for the extra work.

Now I focus on my Maryjane and it keeps me busy. Not as busy, but busy enough to stay out of trouble (bars).

Marinade time is key. And dehydrated minced onion bits give it a nice snap.

I have worked extensively with all meats including a brief spell involving the curing and drying of meats etc, i also have a very good connection of farmers around the uk who keep the more sought after breeds, have to say my last job was a otherfucker but it certainly had it's benefits. A friend of mine started his own british chorizo company a year or so back to great response, he used his own pigs and makes it all by hand with his best mate, already winning awards and making a name for itself.

Beef jerky kicks the pants off some chorizo though, and well, america plain spoilt me :( I don't eat too much or too often, but i know good food and good ingredients. I seem drawn to the high end and artisan food industry for some unfathomable reason.

I'll bear that in mind boomer, sounds good :D I know there's a foreign culinary fellow in the city who has converted an entire room in his house into a dehumidified cold fridge just for drying meats, but alas have only heard of him and ahvn't managed to go meet him. Like you, high end food can only be had if cooked at home for me, i used to get the same meat we'd drive to Heston B and such for free or at cost price, now though, mcdonalds! cheap!

If you do have the munchies though, nothing better than working for them, i like to get on the road bike and cycle 5 miles each way, when you get home and unpack ya bag, oh it is a good feeling :) although had the coppers pull me over more than many a time for no lights or reflectives etc :D sod it, one with nature in a cannabis induced haze :)

the biggest part of weight control is drinking 8 glasses of water a day but when the munchies set in frozen fruit helps me from throwing on the pounds. i'm trying to loose at least 30 more pounds. i'm 6'3" and tipping the scale at 223 last weigh in, i was up to 235 when i started watching what i ate. at 1 time i was 280 and i lost 100 pounds but put it back on when i quit smoking ciggs a couple of years ago.

Great thread lol + rep to the op, my trick is just to slowly teach yourself not to totally munch out when your high and after time you'll get used to not eating while high

I am 6'1", 185lbs 8%BF. I am always active, Parkour and Sports rules my life lol. I usually only smoke the dush in the afternoon/night, or when I feel like it. I'm never really hungry after smoking.

It's easy to be skinny and enjoy cannabis. Don't eat a bunch of empty-calorie shit.

Put down the Moon Pies, jelly donuts, Cheetos, etc. Better yet, don't purchase them in the first place.

You can still be a pig, just eat right while you're doing it. One of my favorite activities is to make a delicious and nutritious meal and then smoke out; and savor every bite.

My ex-wife is a Mainer. So I suppose I could have mentioned snicker-doodles and fluffer-nutters, too.

I used to enjoy annoying the ever-living fuck out of her family by intentionally pronouncing Maine-related things Texas-style. Her mother loathed me.

Bangor was 'Banger' when they were around.

tbh, I also quit smoking cigarettes right before I turned 30 too so that didn't help at all. When you quit smoking tobacco your metabolism goes down. I went from 135lbs to 175lbs in about three months, but I'll take a big belly over lung cancer any day. ;)
