hydrosun 400wattmh for $30

ok here is my question a neighbor of mine has one for sale for $30 but my problem is i dont need a mh i need a hps and perferably a 400hps so is there anyway i could rewire the thing or is one of those conversion bulbs just what the dr orderded? thanks for the help in advace

I'd say conversion is the way to go if you want to use that system, however, conversion bulbs have very limited selection, and high prices where available. If you were going for a budget grow that could be limiting. This HPS conversion is off brand and costs $100.

er in fact I linked a 600/1000 choice, 400w is an even harder wattage to source.

Probably a more economical solution would be an enhanced MH lamp, which is more readily available. I've never used these, but I assume they would do the job. These are reasonably priced.
