Is it burnt?

Did you just water? Imo if so you didn’t water thoroughly. I can see dry surface areas. Imo it should be even regardless where it is in the wet/dry cycle. Not saying thats the issue entirely but could be part of it if thats what you do . I agree its a watering problem and haven’t used peat pots in ages but they usually make it easy to tell if its being overwatered. They get funky and the wet marks stain the outsides if kept too wet

Started in planting mix. Not light, inert starter material.

Crispy Kale. May grow through it. Appears to be trying.

The heat Matt is not on. They’re in fox farms happy frog. I’ve had really good luck in coco coir using liquid nutrients and blue lab ph pen. Figured soil would be easiest cause I thought you just water. I may have set myself back about two weeks dialing everything in this room in. Im more familiar with grow tents so I’m thinking the environment of the room is playing a role here too maybe

Those pots are always drying to fast on mature plants combine that with coco and you would probably need to water twice a day thoroughly
I would repot and feed half of nutrients of what you have been doing more frequently
Edit
I just realized you are trying to use time release food
No clue how to make that work
Sorry

I was scared they weren’t getting enough nutes after researching happy frog more so I went to Walmart for that Alaskan fish poop fertilizer to give ‘em some quick nitrogen but i don’t give it every feeding do you think I should be more consistent with those nutrients? I backed off because the plant was looking sadder. I am switching back to coco since it’s easier for me but for now these baby’s will be in ff happy frog soil until my calibration fluid and liquid nutrients get here

They’ve been looking like this before yesterday and I just got a humidifier in the room so I was thinking they looked worst since I avtuallly got the humidifier in the room last night. Could be completely unrelated

Yeah I’ve used coco a lot never too much “living soil” but it’s not uncommon to find small rocks or sticks in bags here and there but fox farms does have a lot of mulch it seems. Formula must have changed

I used to use Down to Earth "Pro-Organic" mix, and it worked well, but the amount of peat in it would become somewhat hydrophobic over time
