Is plant too big for 5 gal DWC?

I have a deep purple in a 5 gallon DWC setup. Does this plant need a bigger reservoir? I am just flipping to 12/12 now.

what is the rule of thumb when it comes to hydro and reservoir size?

im thinking of doing a recirculating hydro system.
