Buy a metal halide or high pressure sodium light. That floodlight isn't going to work out well.

Compact flourescents if you need a small/easy bulb. flood light is def a bad choice.

250 wats should do for one or two plants how many u tring to start? be more specific

ok,so using 3 100 watt cfls on a sprout so not sure the effects on that one yet.I would be able to use 5 on this one sprout,but its only few days old at this point and didn't want to burn it.Would the heat of five somewhat directly on this plant be too much or just enough?

also,what would be a good light cycle to be on using cfls?I'm think they would need more then 12 hours on since its not as intense as a high persure sodium would be.
