Is water with 8.3ph & 120mg sodium per liter ok?

Is water with 8.3ph & 120mg sodium per liter ok to just give directly to cannabis plants grown with all organics? Or will that 120mg/liter sodium + 8.3ph add up after awhile & cause lockouts/ph imbalances.

Yes, i looked up the county water report & it's 120mg per liter. Definitely seems like a lot but I have nothing to compare it to & no idea how much is too much.

From that link you offered
"Most plants will typically suffer injury if sodium exceeds 70 milligrams per liter in water, or 5 percent in plant tissue, or 230 milligrams per liter in soil, in the extract from a saturated soil paste"

Is that saying 70mg watered into soil will cause injury, or more than 230mg watered into soil will cause injury. Confuses me lol

Got RO Filter? Never thought about checking into the salinity in the tap water. There's a product out there that's supposed to help with high salt levels in the soil.

Sea Green by Primordial Solutions. notice it advertising aid in salt removal?

?"Buffer against salt and high EC conditions associated with poor soil or heavy feeding". ?

I've never used the product, not yet anyways, but maybe someone who has can chime in?

(some swear by Langbeinite as a good product for that too,)

Edit: Well blow me down and pick me up...my sodium levels are 160... sheez o peets. Ro Filter it is.

WhaT are you guys reading? The chart there reads TDS (total dissolved solids) less than 450 mg/L is generally safe.

I get it now, generally safe for humans but not for Cannabis.

Yea it sucks. I have to either give them spring water now, or invest in a R.O. system. Public water in so much of America is terrible quality & grossly expensive.

Wow your h2o is worse than mine? 160! Had you noticed a lot of dying plants late in flower?

Not dying just fading. I use to see it at week 4 of flower...with the RO I think I could've made the entire grow with no problem, but got lazy after week 6 and started mixing tap with the RO and at week 8 of flower my plants started to fade fast.. I'm just stoked I made it to week 8 of flower with no problems...lol. Just weird taking solids out of the water only to put it back in with all the stuff we add...lol .. Anyways I use the Hydro Logic Stealth 150, takes about an hour to filter 5 gallons. the Stealth 300 probably 15 minutes to filter 5 gallons.

I'll definitely look into that RO system you suggested, thanks! Anyone use their Stealth RO for drinking water too, like just add mineral drops or whatever

I dont have stealth, but I do use my system for drinking water. I add 1/4tsp pink salt per gallon. I found after the first couple weeks drinking ro water exclusively and being very active, I was showing signs of dehydration even though I was taking in a gallon plus per day. A little research and i quickly found out that I was an idiot. Haha. Since adding salt, I've never had the issue again.

Probably just hungry, they go through a rapid growth up to the 3rd-4th week of flower and use up lot of phosphorus during that stretch. That's the one time you don't want to be stingy with your nutrition. Now if you were feeding heavy, then I'd say a nutrient lockout. Look into humic acid as a possible solution to release any locked up Calcium in the soil. Lot of proprietary nutritional products carry it in there already, so read the labels thoroughly. What's helped me a lot is my watering practice, meaning I was more careful about letting the roots grow out more into the pot. (if your bottom soil is always drenched, not good) That and daily kelp foliar sprays up to 2 weeks into flower. And the RO. That regimen carried me to week 8 this last go around.

Good call; although dehuey water is free of mineral content, it's only as clean as the coils and internal surfaces.
Drinking or cooking dehuey water is not a good idea to put it mildly.
I totally agree but just to be clear i was talking about consuming water from my ro system not from the dehuey, that would be pretty farout haha
