the moment i have been waiting for!!!! first time dwc, long time lerkur and studier and i think im ready to give it a real shot. im running a 4x4x7 vivosun tent with 6" vivosun exaust and filter. switched from a 600w hps to the, spider farmer sf4000. out of the box this thing is the best thing ive seen since my first pair of tits!!! im using the bunble boy 4banger system wich i customised and instead of the 3.5 gallon buckets i switched them to 7gallons. 4 seperate strain from RoyalQueenSeeds. skunk xl, critical, white widow, special kush#1. i plan on each strain its own bucket with 3 plants in each. i decided to go with the advanced nutrients lineup, im really banking on that ph perfect!! also going to run one strain with the new vivosun 2- part nutrients!! learn with me on this new journey of mine and maybe help me along the way if the problemos pop up. beans will begin germination tonight!!!

your gonna have a fun time refiling water :D
yes that has crossed my mind. i bumped it up to 7 gallons in hopes that helps. ive looked everywhere and couldnt find one grow with a 7gallon bucket. ive read 5s would be to small and would require daily watering. my brain is trying to convince myself that these 7s will be perfect for a 3plant sog. germinated tuesday night, toilet paper-3 seeds in middle-fold-water-put in cup in bottom drawer works everytime. woke up this morning and all had tails, except somehow one of the skunk seeds got up and walked away so now only have 2 of them. but %100 germ rate on all from RQS. soaked rockwool cubes in 5.6 phd water and plopped seeds in tails first. first time using rockwool anything including these fancy spiderfarmerseed trays!! stay tined for updates

i have one straggler, user error! special kush1 the seed shell was stuck and i couldnt help myself from oulling it off and whan pulled the whole thing out of the rockwool. im hoping she re-roote but well see. other than that, the other 10 seem to be doing great. filled buckets with with water, thats a in the ass!! the thought process and actually goong thru and filling them are comolete opposites. sounds easy enough, but really frustrating. but kinda of expected it on the first go around. 3 buckets(critical, white widow, special kush) first feeding with advanced nutrients. at quarter strength to start so my math added up 6ml squirts of each micro gro and bloom. i did not bother to check ph, gonna try to trust the process...1 bucket(skunk xl) got its first feeding with the vivosun 2-part A and B nutrients. 1-3 ml per liter so i went with another 6ml squirt of each a and b. have to keep an eye on ph for vivosun but made sure she was at 5.4. also set the timer up for 18/6. they have been on 24hr light schedule since germ. this actually will be my first run with 18/6. ive always ran a 24hr veg light cycle.. ill keep the updates coming stay tuned

I don't see how you will be able to pull off a SOG in just DWC. I would consider the logistics of topping off and even checking pH after you get the net on. It will be impossible to look at your roots or even change out an airstone if need be. Maybe there is something I don't know

im still learning, this is all my personal experiment so kinda wingin it, plus taking away from any suggestions. im not sure i understand what you mean how i couldnt pull it off tho? i wasnt plan on using a net. that would be for screen of green from my thoughts process?. im trying to grow a bunch of short smaller 1 main coloas, sea of green style. thinking i can let them run the rez all the way down then refill with fresh without having to take the lids off. advanced nutrients buckets i wasnt goong to keep an eye in ph and trust the ph perfext process. i know alot of things imma try are not politically correct but i like to experiment and see what i can and cant get away with.

You can build an float valve cheap af and super easy. You could also buy a sump pump and hook it up to a hose on a RC Outlet.

ive been thinking about some sort of pump, i was going to put some drain spouts in the bottoms but rushed and forgot. i have 100 diferent ways i planned on doing this and they kind of merge and steps get forgetabout. and more thought to it, they really wont drink all that 6 gallons in a week to start out, so i really need to adres that lol

that sump pum idea is actually kind of genious, ehhhh if they were all one strain i would make it work. dont think i wanna pump the same nut around incase one strain wants more or less

Didn't understand you were doing a sea of green without a net... Just trying to help prevent you from getting into a jam later. I will suggest you learn how to not only monitor your pH and raise and lower it and track your nutrient feedings. If the pH perfect process does it for you please let me know I will switch immediately. It looks like you have the right equipment and attitude--good luck dude

5 days since transfer. 1 of the criticals look like it was start cal/mag def and starting to yellow. upped the feeding and added another 6ml of mgbAN to each critical, white widow, special skunk. ppms were steady 240-250 woth temps 74.ish. besides that little cal/mag(im guessing) issue, i an very pleased so far. the skunk xl with vivosun nutes are doing great as well!! 74.ish temps with steady 350ppm, ph swung up to 6.5ish on sunday but some phdown took care of that hack down to 5.4. the growth seems a little slower that the Advanced nutes, BUT so far it is problem free and pretty easy. one of the skunk xl has a weird leaf mutation, any thoughts?

feeding day. skunk xl with the vivosun got another 6ml dose of the AandB ppms sitting at 425 with 73.5 water temp ph at 5.71. one plant is loving it but in is growing slowly-dont see roots out the bottom of that one yet but she still growing with no problems. special kush#1 got upped to 8ml of ANmgb and seem to be loving it with little oroblems, one seems to be confused and roots want to grow upward. ppm bouncing around 429 with 73.5 water temp with a ph of aint got time for that shit.. critical got upped to 8ml of ANmgb and sitting at 450ppm,wayer temp 73.5 ppm is higher because of a cal/mag issue i believe and think it wants more nutes. ill be looking into the advaned nutes calmad solution wichever that one is eventually if it persists. ph also at no tome for that. white widow got 8ml of ANmgb sitting at 426-429 ppm and is absolutley loving it. no problems whats so ever so far!! ph of aint got time for that shit and water temps at 73.5. very impressed so far in the actual hydro growing itself. easier than i imagined "so far" the advanced nutes definatly have alot of thrive and excoet my issue with the critical its holding up to its name. i havnt phed once and all 3 are bigger than the vivosun nutes. BUT With that being said, i am very pleased and impressed with the vivosun part a and b. 2 squirts and maybe a little ph down and you are golden. ph jums up about .5 every 3days or so but a dropper of ph down and your good. im not stressing it as much as i am with the advanced nutes banking on the ph perfect and alot simpler to mix together time wise. ala skipping a whole 3rd bottle.
