JP's Cabinet Grow

Its been actually flowering for 9 days. i went back through the pictures and the date of 4-19-2010 was when i first noticed it was female.

I am really surprised at how little my lady is eating so far. She drinks a ton of water but very little nutrients. I keep a close eye on nutrient levels. I switched from aged tap water to ro/di or distilled water. I bought both filters a long time ago and might as well use them.

I am really thankful to each person that has replied on this and my first planning stage post. With out your constant help, i wouldn't have the lady i have now. For a first grow i am quite happy.

Countdown begins 30 days to go or around then. The buds are filling in nicely

I was going to change out the lighting but i really have this feeling that i shouldn't mess with something that ain't broke. For my next grow i will redesign the lights somehow. I have everything to make a power strip light,(y connectors with plug in sockets) would that work? I thought about using 6 23 watt bulbs and seeing how temps go.

not tryin to change your thinking, but this light fixture is only $10 at lowes, then all you need in a 99 cent extension cord to plug it in and you already have the y splitters. then you have a nice 6 bulb fixture you can either screw to the top of your box or hang by chains. just a thought.

Ok so i found out its hardwired, meaning i need cord that will safely power this light. Which is best to use? a grounded extension cord work?

no, just a cheap 99 cent extension cord, just 2 wires/no ground plug, and the fixture comes with cap screws, just twist the 2 wires together and then put the cap screws on, i taped mine up with black elec tape, very easy to do and it works fine. something else, i just looked in my cabinet and the temp was at 86, so i opened the door and pointed the big fan that i wasnt using, to blow into the box and the temp dropped 4 degrees, have you tried this yet, a fan blowing into the box through the opened door? check out my thread in a bit, i still have to post, look what i did to my plant??????? LoL.

Dang bro, you have good hair cutting skills! hope that works out for you.

I really like the measurements and everything so i ordered the parts and i will wire that light bar using your method. thanks for hooking me up with this, its what i've been looking for. I assume it comes with some way to attach it to the cabinet, a bracket or something i can screw into the plastic. the whole setup plus tape and an extension cord was only 20 bucks. cheapest fixture to date! last one cost me $139

this is how i have my now veg cab'
