WW#1 still stretching and overwhelming WW#2, hope my new light gets here soon as #2 is on very low lumens now due to having to raise the light for WW#1. She's probaby 29" tall today and #2 is still only 18-19". With only 100 watt light it means #2 is only getting ~1/3 the lumens of #1.

I got my Wills 150 watt light this pm and set it up so it was over WW#1 and moved my Bestva over Lil; Durban and got the burple~80 watt over WW#2 real close. After a few hours WW#2 is reaching for the light and looking a lot better. We shall see if that gets her to stretch more.
The Wills 150 was only $47 delivered but... It does not have the spectrum of the Bestva and does not give 50% more lumens either. The advertise 2.7umols/j but I really doubt the Chinese are trustworthy.

All the girls seems to be starting their 3rd week of flowering and getting very hairy now. Prob another five weeks to chop???

I looked in this morning an saw that the plants really reacted to changing the lights around. WW#1 was showing some brown spots on a few leaves, Lil' DUrban was droopy and WW#2 was reaching for the burple light and started to stretch now. I think the lights which were full on caused the problems so I turned them down to ~50-60% and this pm things were better. I had the lights pretty close to the plants so I turned them down for a while.
I screwed up my rez top off and Phing so I drained the rez and refilled with tap water. I added 50% of recomended Nutes (Grow, Bloom & Micro) will recheck pH and PPMs in a while after the pump stirs the mix.

WW's starting to frost up in 8th week from seed!

I got the lights sorted out and they are working well. WW#2 is really moving now with the burple about 6' above the even canopy, leaves reaching for light and I'll have to trim the leaves tomorrow to give the blooms more light.

After the rez change and adding nutes, pH was above 7.2 so I added some Down and then after a few hours it was 6.7 so added some more down for 6.2 and added some more to get it under 6.0.

PPM's 724 (1.5+ E). NFT roots nice an white, getting heavy to lift the lid to check the water now.

From an old (2010) thread Hobbes said he had cloned from roots and that it might be good for cloning autos. He was using soil to do his cloning, but thought that you coud use roots from hydro to do it. Very interesting!

So, i'm just curious (and didn't want to make a whole new thread for this) I have always used DWC and didn't know bout NFT, it looks like NFT is pretty much just DWC with half the water missing? at least from what i read about it... have you seen any massive differences in growth from DWC to NFT? if you have done both..

I've never done DWC. I went from soil and HPS to Stinkbud NTF and T5's then shifted to NTF and LED's a long time ago. HPS was too hot and my 4'X 8 bulb was too big for my grow space. I shifted from a 2X8 foot closet to just doing a few plants in a bathtub after having leaks. Now if I have leaks it just goes down the drain.

Now I'm doing autos 'cause my bath room had light leaks and autos are height restricted from the rudiralis cross.

Finally, Bud Porn!
My hairy girls are starting to frost up now, going on their ~5th week of flower
.DSCN0033.JPG Lil' DUrban is just now starting to frost up. she's about 19" tall.

PH was up today 'cause I added tap water (~3 gal) to the rez, PPM's ( 1.1 ec) were down so I added 20 ml of Micro and left PH at 6.54 to see if the shift in ph would have any effect.

Playoff selection is iffy now but the '9ers are still hanging on to 7th seed in NFC. Heck even Detroit has a chance so it's anyone's guess who the wild cards will be.

WW#1 was trying to Bogart some photons from Lil' Durban so I snipped off the offending limb. I noticed it had some substantial buds so I dried it. It turned out to be just dry enough to grind so I ground up the buds and got one fat joint. It was quite smooth in the draw and a little harsh on the exhale, but It has power yet to develop. It got me off for a short hop. WW#1 showed it's first brown pistils today, less than 1%.

Also, WW#2 has shown it is browning it's pistils now about 20-30% and it is sticky under it's dedicated Burple lamp.

Lil Durban chugs along and is stacking buds It's all hairy with pistils. I worry for it as it shows a very lime like color under the Bestva and even under my flashlight, it's not real green. I suppose that may be genetics because I know it's been getting N. In every other way she seems to be a very happy plant.

I pulled Lil' Durban out from under its light and got it in the "Normal " light and noticed that the pistils weren't white but very pale lavender. It's kind of pretty. I took her out to see what her color was as the Bestva is pretty yellow light. She's not as lime green and it looks like the extra nutes a gave her today may be greening her up a bit. I had mixed up a gal of nutes to GH's standard mix (~8oo ppm) the next time I'm going to use more bloom and micro to get the ppms up over 1000. I'm guessing she'll go about 14 weeks to mature.

WW#2 is jammed under WW#1 and confined to about a square foot. Still it is very sticky and seems more mature than WW#1. It still hasn't reached 22" tall yet. I think she may be more potent than her size would seem.

WW#1 is a real California gal, loves the light and is spreading her limbs abit as she matures.

Good news, 49ers win 23-26! Last minute TD sealed the fate of Cini. WW's drinking hard and Lil; Durban is puffing her buds.
Time for Bud Porn!!!!DSCN0043.JPGDSCN0041.JPGDSCN0040.JPGDSCN0039.JPGDSCN0038.JPGDSCN0038.JPGDSCN0044.JPGDSCN0040.JPGDSCN0040.JPGDSCN0039.JPGDSCN0038.JPGDSCN0037.JPG

Put up my new fan and connected up the tube to extract the air and get some cooler outside air in. Should add CO2 to the grow now.Humidity has been running 50-70% so with the WW's transpiring a gallon of water a day, figured I better extract some air and humidity.

Lil' Durban seems to be greener today, so maybe the extra ferts are getting to the roots now?

Fan working well, Girls are starting to smell now but temp is a little low (71-78) and humidity is down to (30-50%) in general area/under canopy. Not much air transfer but it is keeping the Bestva light a bit cooler as the inlet tube drifts cooler air down on the light.
Interesting that WW#1 smells different than WW#2. WW#1 is now getting sticky buds and smells lemony. WW#2 is different not so citrusy but still NO SKUNK! Hooray!!!

Lil' Durban is just starting to get kind'a sticky buds but very little smell. I mixed up some Ferts water for her yesterday and may have gone a little heavy on the bloom as i checked the ppms today and it was 1230 ppm. I may dilute this a bit.

I checked the girls this AM and found WW#1 had some burned tips. I may have let the rez get too low and got the ppm up over 800. WW#2 shows no signs of burned tips though.

Lil Durban looking good now I got her greening up good now with lots of Micro and bloom nutes. I just gave her tap water today. I'm learning how to run this soil now.

Getting colder here and temps may be a bit low, (71-77) but the 250 watts of lights does bring it up pretty fast at lights on.

At this point in flower (15-16 weeks from germ) I figure they need max light. So last night before lights out I cranked the 150 and 100 waatters up to 100% and left them at a height that just covered their respective plants. Gonna check them this AM (0600) to see if they are Okay.

On a whim, took my magnifier in and checked the tricombes. WW#1 was starting to form bulbs in the heads. One bud showed a few amber 'combs.
WW#2 was hard to see, stuffed under #1 but it was so sticky I had to use alchohol to clean my fingers, otherwise they stuck together. No ambers but heads forming.

Lil' Durban is just starting to frost. All white hairs, but a few starting to turn.

Everything seems to have taken the extra light well.

Oh NO! Lil' Durban is all yellow from the top down. It may have been from my turning the light up to 100%,or over watering, or both?DSCN0009.JPG
