Leaves starting to yellow, any ideas why?

LeavesYellowing.jpg

My leaves have just started turning yellow the last 2-3 days any specific ideas why? This is my first grow and I have had problems with this one the whole time. It is northern lights, and on day 25. It is only bout 2" tall and I have had to cut some of the leaves off towards the bottom because of some splash damage it experienced earlier. Also, I gave it nutes 1/4 strength on day 14 & 20. I now kno thats to early after some reading, rookie mistake. To make things better, the nutes I gave it were the wrong ones. I meant to get Dyna-Gro Foliage Pro (9-3-6) (I just picked some up) but instead I got Dyna-Gro Liquid Grow (7-9-5). Am i looking at nutrient problems possibly?

What should I do to fix it?

Severe Mg def because the ph is out and also some nute burn. Get the PH to 6.5 with a meter and adjusters.

I'm goin to look into getting a digital ph reader, any suggestions on a model? I currently am using strips. And yes I've been debating getting rid of it and using its lights on my other plant, but since it's my first grow I might keep it and use it to learn from.

Save your money. You do not need to ph the water in soil. I've literally never ph'd my water once and haven't had any issues. The guy that says you have a ph issues is wrong.

I use Fox Farm (first grows was just this I now mix with some perlite and super soil) and dynagro nutes too. You probably have a deficiency. You only watered 1/4 strength twice in over 20 days? By week 4 I am up to full dosage on the dynagro in the exact same soil and my plants dont show nute burn.

Iron/cal/mag def perhaps. You really should check your water PH and runoff water PH. Could be lockout due to low PH. Also StanlySpedowski is partially right. You don't really need a PH metre for your soil. Strips/drops to test water in and out should be more than enough. Just aim for 6,5 PH runoff and you should be alright as far as PH goes.
