And its gonna be a box made of 2 x 4's and covered in plywood to keep it light tight..now i wanted to go with MH or HPS lights..but idk if they will get to hot for the wood box..i was gonna use to lights would 250-300 wat lights be fine in this setup..i wanna grow 6 to 8 plants in a 6' x 30" x 30" box...is this possible, and could i have that many plants with those lights...for flowering..i was gonna put fans in the box..one on an end.and another in between the plants..they will be split up 3 and 3 or 4 and 4...thanx

well the room has central air..so in the winter the temp will prolly be 75 degrees or so in the room..so if i use some ocellating fans in the bos..with a vent to the light..but do i need 400 watts.can i use 2 250 or will the one 400 be fine for that room.

if i was you ill use the 400 HPS for flowering but 2 x 250w is a better coverage..
i found this in FAQ

WATTAGE -- COVERAGE
1000 watt - 4 to 5 feet across (1.3 to 1.5 meters)
600 watt - 3.5 feet (1 meter)
400 watt - 2.5 possibly 3 feet (.8 to .9 m)
250 watt - 2 feet (.6-.7 m)
175 watt - small, less than 2 feet
hope this help :)

it does help..i figured the two 250's would be easier to control the temp, in the smaller space..thanx for the help..

i think i found a strain that i wanna try..i def wanna try sharks breath, white widow..and g13..i wanted chocolope..but i dont think i have enough room..i just really want sharks breath..and mainly widow..i know there are alot of other strains out there..but widow is my fav..and i wanna smoke my own bud..any other suggestions for a good bud that grows no bigger then 3ft..and has a decent yield and great high..

chocolope is bomb, so is g13, i have about a half ounce right now. if you want a high yielding strain thats easy to grow, id go with BC Big Bud or northern lights, i grow these with CFL's and i get about 1 1/2- 2 ounces off each plant

Ok so after doing my shit and wat not..and by shit i mean research..im gonna go with a 6'x30"x30" grow setup..it will be built as a fishtank stand to make it stealth seeing as i still live with moma dukes, and i think this is a descent sized setup..now i wanna go with some descent yielding plants..could i do 4 lowryder, or 4 big bud, some widow, and sharks breath..would that be to many plants or could i go with more..im gonna probly do a hydro setup or aeroponics..seeing as most of the stuff i read says that u get a bigger yield taht way..im gonna use two 250 watt bulbs..makeshit diy fixtures..(cant afford the good shit maybe after this first grow), but im gonna make it so there are cfl bulbs on the sides of the stand so all the plant gets light..i figured this would optimize my yield even more..so wat do you guys think..im gonna ponder this some morebongsmilie..lemme know

ok so now ive found something else lol..i found this t5 strip light its 216w 4ft fixture..made bye sunblaze...looks nice New Wave 216W 3000K 20000 Lumens 4FT T5 Fluorescent Grow Light - Plantlighting Hydroponics, now i use these on my reef tank..and i now these work fucking incredible on corals..cause ive been keeping fish tanks since forever..and i have wondered about t5 working..i just want a light that doesnt run hot..so thats why im debating on doing the flourescents in general either t5 or cfl..since my grow room isnt to high..i dont wanna burn my plants..
