Do you have your intake vents at the bottom of the tent open? They should be.

The best way to have your fan mounted is directly to the filter then out the tent. Are you sucking air out of the tent or pushing it in?
Dont mind the light in front of it, this is just to show you how i have my filter. If i was running led, it would be the same except vented directly out the tent.

Yes I have 3 intake vents that are open. My fan is outside the tent pulling air from the carbon filter which is inside the tent. Ducting in between the two.

I'd get a bigger better exhaust fan. I wouldn't try to run anything under a 6" in a 4x4, but that's just me. I like the Vortex VTX fans, but the Active Air ones are OK too.

Question where is your intake fan? I see your filter and the line but the fan? My filter and fan are hooked together and go out the line.

OP forgive me if you’ve already said it but what’s the temp of the room you’re tent is in? I would think that fan would be able to keep they tent cool with an LED

Maybe someone who has that light can help with ideas to keep the heat down. Like stated above probably going to need a 6 inch.

It should work.
I'm running 900 watts of strips and Vero's in my upstairs room. It vents into a 400 sqft room. As long as the lung room temp doesn't go above 75 my grow room stays below 83. I'm running a CloudlineT6 as the exhaust as well as a 50 pt de-huey in the room.

Depends on the fan though, you can have a reasonable cfm fan drop like a brick with a small amount of resistance .

Something like a vortex, can, ruck or rvk is 100% going to shift the air. Not there aren't many more of different brands but there are a lot of pieces of crap on the market meant for bathrooms with little to no duct work or resistance.

End of the day with 70degrees f room temps and that much temp rise and your thermometer in the correct place like it is , plus warm air been vented out it can only be the fan is not up to the job, unless of course there's cellophane still on your filter under your pre filter...

Thank you man. Static pressure makes a huge difference. The longer the ducting and the more bends you have creates more pressure, making it harder for the fan to flow at the same rate. I've never tried an Infinity, but I doubt they could match a Vortex VTX. But like I said I haven't tried them so I can't really comment.

The size of the filter has a massive impact as well. Due to the amount of air that can flow (the resistance is decreased with a larger filter).

Air flow is now matched to the filter at full speed on the fan.

I had problems with a puny filter..switched to the 28 inch long 6 inch filter and my temps dropped from 82 to 75 and i like it right there.

It is not a tent but the concept is the same.

My experience, is it has to Draw at least 500 watts from the wall, actual watts, give or take from the wall at a bare minimum for a 4x4 1.2 metre x 1.2 meter tent. I use a HlG 550 v1 and I feel its slightly under powered and better suited to my 3x3 tents.

Maybe consider Building a Light?
That would be Great in a 4x4
