Lucas method w/ autos??

Hey all, first post here. Great forum.
I'm planning my first grow. Most likely dwc even though I've heard not recommended for noobs. I have experience with coral reef tanks so a lot of the nute, ppm/ph stuff I've read about seems pretty straight forward to me. (Already have ro/di water, ph/tds meters, pumps,etc)
I have a bunch of beans coming (hopefully) from Attitude and chose a mix of auto fems and some light cycle strains. I'd like to start with the autos to keep it simple until I get my feet wet.
So my question is (sorry for the rant); does Lucas work with autos or is it strictly for light cycle plants?

I used the lucas 2 part Flora micro & Flora Bloom at half strength with additives. always strart at 1/4 dose and work your way up. checkout my grow journal in my signature.
